Kit, I am an ardent Norrington lover, but I must regrettably inform you that it is possible -I'd even go so far as to say highly probable- that our beloved James will receive a fatal injury (from one of my other favorites, no less!  ). As to whether he officially dies....that's not yet verified.

No, I will not believe it. Just like I don't belive the 4th POTC film will show Will's death. In film matters I only trust what my eyes tell me, I don't listen to rumours before films are even out, no matter how highly regarded the sources are. I see no reason when at present their are two villains in the 3rd film, that Norrington should also lose his life.
