Bootstrap would kill Commodore in a combat if the rumours are true I am so sad about saying that but it is a spoiler, could be true he could be killed unfortunately by the sword of Bootstrap.

I heard that rumour months ago, but I am not prepared to believe it. I see no reason why the character should be extinguished for the series. He provides something that lacks all the others - honour and a sense of duty to others and not just for himself. He lost a little bit of that in DMC, but he will regain himself and choose the right course in the end.

Well fatal usually means....fatal...
Quote: causing or capable of causing death; mortal; deadly: a fatal accident; a fatal dose of poison.

Oh! Oh! Oh! *waves arms around and jumps up and down excitedly* I wanna join!
I looooove Norrington!!! I sat through most of DMC thinking 'omg how did he get so totally gorgeous?' I've been obsessed ever since.
Oh and he can't die! That would be horrid! I refuse to believe that he will, cause if I start thinkin he's going to die.... I might cry *sniff*

Uh... o.O yeah. I agree with Johnny's Fan. Fatal.... I mean. Fatal --- 99% of the time means death. And grieving.
And yeah, I also agree with JF. There's just no way that I can see Norrington die at all, he's just not one of those characters that could be chopped off by a sequence of events like someone stabbing him. o.O Also, why is the common killing theme 'stabbing'? Why not getting eaten by our dear beloved Kraken?
Now, I haven't really seen the main characters of PotC... actually DIE.
Barbossa came back. And Jack Sparrow is apparently still alive..... so, what's the what?

I can't see any of the "good guys" dying or even the baddies if they will serve a purpose later on (i.e Barboass). I can see him getting wounded maybe trying to do something noble...but dying? It would put a bit of damper on the films...especially for us Norrie fans.
And if they are going to make another film, having the same characters will help as it will only take time to introduce a new character and the audience might not like said character.

I didn't like Beckett either. I was so impressed by his character, I failed to realise the same dude played the vicar in P&P. *tut* I certainly won't cry if he dies...especially if Norrie does him in, in an act of bravery. *cheers*

When I first saw him on screen, I scratched my chin and thought.... "......He looks familiar..... I've gotta get rid of that wig..... OMG IT'S MR. COLLINS FROM P & P!"
And then my second thought was, "Awww, where's Norrington? "

Beckett was really short lol...not that there's anything wrong with being short...I'm short. Never mind that was just random.
I was so excited when Norrie came on the screen, when I heard his voice I shifted in my seat in excitement .

Right. Fatal = capable of causing death. I'm perfectly aware of the definition of fatal. I'm also perfectly aware that there is no cursed treasure of Isla de Muerta that turns men into walking skeletons compelled by their own greed, and that there is no ghost ship named the Flying Dutchman captained by a man who was so heartbroken that he carved his own heart out and crewed by doomed souls that are half-man, half-sushi. Fortunately for us, though, such rules do not always apply to PotC.
Just trust me. I'm in denial about it too. I've heard no final verdicts, so I can't make an absolute judgement. I've stated what I know to be true as of the most recent script I've read (which, granted, has received a few edits since it was written), and what I think about it. Bottom line: I don't think James dies or stays dead. The writers are smarter than that, and not nearly so cruel. I have faith in them. Both of them.
*looks around nervously* Nice...fangirls... Umm...look! *points* It's hot!
Oh, and on the subject of Beckett...I loved what Ted Elliott said in the DMC commentary during Beckett's first scene: "Tom Hollander is not Jack Davenport, and Beckett is not Norrington! Just had to clear that up."
Apparently some people have trouble figuring that out.

OH! Oh! I can't believe I haven't seen or joined this club already... please may I? In PotC, Norrington and Barbossa are my two favorite characters. I even liked Nort when he was still Mr. Haughty in a wig! I screamed over him the first time we saw PotC1... and was one of those embaressing fangirls. Its's cooled a little since then though.
Haughty guys so rock.
*looks at picture*
Oho, oho, oh- *dies*
JF, you lucky duck, you.
As to him dying, *cough cough* from what I hear, 3 is going to leave us undecided... and 4 is going to settle it.
*tear*
