I think it just goes to show just how into it all the cast, particularly Viggo, actually got. Just how he managed to stay in character after breaking his toe like that is beyond me, but I'm glad that he did because that shot is all the more powerful as a result.
As for his broken tooth, the picture that they took of him showing off the gap in his teeth before he had it repaired is really funny. I doubt many of the Hollywood elite would offer to get their teeth glued back together rather than mess up the filming schedule!

Hey did you know that Aragorn and Pippin [Viggo and Billy] KISSED in the scene with Rosie and Sam getting married?
Hilarious stuff... haha... but you probably already knew that.

Lol! I never knew that! I know Viggo broke his toe by kicking the helmet alot, but I never knew his srceam in the movie was an actual srceam of pain..lol..! poor Viggo.

yeah I think it's really awesome he managed to stay in the character. That makes his screaming and the whole scene much more realistic.

The whole breaking-toe thing...ow. Yet, strangely funny...at any rate, that greatly increases my respect for poor Viggo! ^^
