All the songs ye mentioned Arwen are my favorites too plus a few more Nightwish just plain rocks! I only have the Highest Hopes compilation CD (I downloaded the rest of the tracks) but I added all of their CDs to my Christmas Wishlist

I really like the 2005 version of Sleeping Sun, it's much better than the original one in my opinion!

Hmm, I actually like the original one much more. I know that Tuomas was trying to get Tarja to sound less operatic on their more recent albums, but her voice on Sleeping Sun '05 just ended up sounding a lot weaker in my opinion. The whole song sounded more...slow-ish jazzy and less powerful.

I was years a huge fan of Nightwish and it was absolutely my favourite band but then somehow I didn't listen to it so much anymore except some certain songs. Anyway now I'm back with the band I love so much. There are so many good songs but for the moment I would choose The Beauty of the Beast from album Century Child. The feeling it gives me is something incomprehensible. Luckily I had the luck to see Nightwish live before dismissing of Tarja. It's so sad she is no longer in the band

I was lucky enough to have seen Nightwish before they fired Tarja also.
But I think it was for the best if what went on behind the scenes was true.
I'd rather have a singer that was 100% commited to the band than someone who used there growing popularity to carve out a solo career.

At the end of the day we still have all the songs they recorded with Tarja so it's not gone forever.

Sadly I never got to see Nightwish live before they fired Tarja Oh well.

All I'm asking is that the new vocalist has a beautiful voice with a nice pitch and also somewhat in the same vocal range as Tarja so that all the old songs can be sung in the original key!

i can't belive they kicked tarja out!! she like IS the voice of nightwish. they won't be the same if they find a new lead....but i really hope they find someone who can do just as good.

Nightwish is one of my favourive bands. Theirs music is wonderful, associate with wild lands far, far away.

My favourite band member is Tuomas. Thank him this band is so great!
