Ok. I read the Emancipation of Samwise Gamgee one on there. It was beautiful. I can see how she would be inspiring to you Eariel. She too has that ability to get into Frodo's head at a certain point and to communicate his feelings in a beautiful way. It wasn't a poem, but it was so beautifully and descriptively written that it didn't need to be a poem. It had a flow and an imagery all on it's own. Thanks for sharing that. It was nice.

Thanks for the compliments on my new banner everyone. I'm pretty pleased with it myself. Gilraen Ringeril did an absolutely stunning job on it. And actually, she was the one who chose the text. I couldn't think of anything, so I said she could put whatever she wanted on there or, if she couldn't think of anything, that simply "Frodo" would do. That line was what she chose. To be quite honest, I didn't even recognize it for Theoden's line until you guys mentioned it, but I like it all the more now that I know where it's from, even if Forever's correction is right as I assume it is.

Alright. I'm off to back to sleep before I begin my endless piles of homework. :yuck: Bye everyone.

*thinks that TT never read her insane comment on Gil's thread*
*is glad about that*

Where is Eariel? (Working on her site to get it up as a Christmas present for us, I hope :P ) i miss her, though.

I've read the Emancipation of Samwise Gamgee, too and I thought it was beautiful. TT put it the right way, Storyteller has the ability to get into Frodo's head. Thanks for the link, Eariel!

^Actually, I think I do remember reading it and gettting ready to reply when I had to get off the computer suddenly, and I just sort of forgot about it when I came back on later. It made me laugh though. :teehee:
Nice new sig to you by the way.
*hopes that's where Eariel has gone as well*
You know, we should post in the E/F club again. Taht's our problem. We've got two clubs going and we sort of take turns posting in them. We rarely actually post in them both at the same time. And we are in desperate need of Frodo related topics. Or Elijah related topics for the E/F club. Hmm.... I'll think about it.

I've been sick for a couple of days so I'm a little lost. But I love your banner TT. It's really gorgeous. Is it new or am I just really, really slow and just noticing it now?

Hey Itarilde! I just answered your post in the other club with an incredibly long one. I'm glad you're back and feeling much better. Being sick is no fun.

Yes, my banner is new, thanks for noticing. Gilraen Ringeril did a REALLY nice job on it. I'm quite pleased with it myself. It makes me happy every time I see it.

There's not really much to be lost about. We're all kind of just standing around in one of those awkward silences wondering what topic to start next, so if you have any ideas, we'd all appreciate them.

I don't know about ideas, but yes, that is where I've been, lol. I read your posts last night, though. I'm almost done... It's a nice feeling to have so many people waiting for my site. :) I might post a poem later, in the meantime, but right now I think I should go pretty soon... Anyway, I'm glad you liked the "Emancipation!' I think Storyteller would be glad to hear that--maybe i'll tell her if i get a chance.

I guess I never joined this club, eh? I always meant to.

Okay, I'm sure this questions already been asked, but do you like the movie Frodo better, or the book Frodo?

Personally, I think the movie Frodo was a little bit more dramatic, and relatable to us youth. He was pictured more young, a bit more innocent and inexperienced... where as the book had him more mature, wise, and stately.

Welcome Fencing Maiden! It's always nice to have another Frodo fan around.

As for your question..... I really don't know. I saw the films first, so Elijah as Frodo was the first Frodo I never knew, and I think is consequently the most dear to me. When I read the book though, I thought he was the perfect Frodo. I guess they are a little different, like you said, with the book frodo being a little more sobered and wise, but I think that in the end, they're both the same Frodo and I love them both. <-- That's a run-on sentence, but I don't feel like correcting my grammar. I feel like being lazy. So yes. I love Frodo. Book or movie. He's Frodo. And he's amazing.

What TT said! *applauds* :P I read the books first (well, each book before each movie of the same name ;) ), but i absolutely love how Elijah played him. :) I like to say that, while I love Frodo for who he is inside, it was nice to have that beautiful mental image of him while reading TTT (since i'd already seen FotR)...which is the book where i found i really had to reconsider my opinion of Bilbo's nephew. ;)
This might be my last post till i get back from visiting extended family... (tho i might post a little bit tomorrow, and there are computers where i'm going, though i don't know how much i'll be using them) So I guess i'm off to the E/F club to really say goodbye. *sniffsniff* (Btw, TT, we've revived the Evanescence club like we were talking about, if you--or anyone else--want to come on over. :) )

I didn't actually read the books first except for ROTK. I'd read all the books and then saw the 3rd movie. But when I was reading the Frodo character from the book, it was so easy to place the way Lij portrayed him in with the way Frodo was described in the book. It was easy to read the book and so easily have that mental image that just matched.

Well said to both of you as well, and thanks for the applause Eariel, though I don't deserve it. There were so many errors in my last post.... . Luckily, you guys all love Frodo too, so you know what I meant behind all my mistakes.

By the way Eariel, thanks for telling about the Evanescence club. I've posted there. It's going to be nice.

*points acclaimingly at hobbit_fan* Do not double post!!

Just kidding, of course. :P

Btw: Don't worry about my new name, it's just because of the Masquerade of the Winter Ball. I'll be FF again tomorrow. But-ssshhh! :)

Does anybody have an idea about a new Frodo-related topic?
