I'm not very good at those sorts of RPs, that involve playing a celebrity :P I'm too much of a perfectionist. I'm also not good at modern RPs, which is sort of funny. Otherwise, though, I would totally join :)

Lol...I don't like Modern RPGs very much. They bother me because I feel dumb posting about things that other people might very well be very experienced in, whereas I myself only have second-hand experience, etc. That's why I prefer RPGs that are set in a Medieval sort of era, since nobody really has any experience in how that would function, or in RPGs set in the distant future, because once again, people wouldn't really have experience about that.

*raises hand* Me too! I am a bit nervous about the SW RPG I've made... I know all of the big basics, but.... what about all of the little details, that if changed, will drive big fans crazy?!

Don't hesitate to ask me if you need help on anything, SG. I've been a Star Wars fanatic since the age of 7, so I can answer just about any question you have (or, if I can't, I know where I can find an answer). I'm an especially big fan of the time period that we're doing this RPG in, so...yes. Help you, I can. :yoda:

(Oh, and you never sent me more details on the RPG. Any chance of me getting those soon so I can start?)

Lol, I'm willing to help too, if you need it. I've read quite a few of the books, and what I haven't read in a book, I've looked up online, so I still know a lot more than should be expected from the number of books.

That would probably be pretty hard...the plot's kind of progressed in that it's hard to fit new characters in, you know?

that one's one of the few rpgs I've participated in my life that there was actually evident character developement and a nice plot tied in. I've grown on my character so much that I've been trying to find a place for him in my story, but unfortunately for me, dragonriders don't exist in my story :(

I feel out of place in many modern rpgs, especially romances but excluding the action genre. the modern world is simply not exciting enough :P

I feel especially out of it in RPs involving school...I'm homeschooled, so I have absolutely no clue, to add to the fact that I'm already bad at those RPs. Yeah, I agree, totally not exciting enough :P

Make them exist, then :D I like my character, too, which is astounding, because I probably took about ten minutes to come up with her! It's strange how some RPs just work, isn't it? And others just die right off the bat...and you never know which are which.

^I agree. sometimes I take the grand total of five minutes to come up with the characters I actually like, and other times when I actually spend time coming up with characters, I end up becoming uninterested. I think it's because the short bios are more flexible, allowing you to adjust your character to the rpg.

Yeah, and you're not always conscious of them having a specific bio to go by so you can sort of come up with a bio as you go. Cause sometimes characters just don't work :P And I always feel slightly guilty when my bio is only about five lines long, but sometimes it just happens that way. Of course, it depends on who you're RPing with, because even the best character will have nothing to go by if the other characters aren't supporting the RP as well.

Well, I'm always puzzled when we're given a bio-style to follow, and there's a "personality" thing there. I don't understand that. In my opinion, the personality becomes evident through the writing, whereas if you say "I'm going to have my character act like this," at the start, you have to constantly make sure he's acting within that personality range, instead of having lots of personality freedom by not saying what their personality is.

I personally give very sketchy ideas in that area, as all of my characters are pretty much alike, save several quirks and likings that I ussually make up in advance, so...

With my characters, I usually fill in a bit in the personality, just general things, then I probably start ignoring them anyway as the character develops. lol

Lol :) I'm finding it really interesting in Legends Made Real to play the kind of character I am - I haven't done one like that in a long time. She's super high-and-mighty and doesn't let anyone get past it, really...fun to play, but isn't very nice :P
