lucky for me, our house possesses a grand total of three computers... and only one works. most likely I won't be on as much rp either once school starts on the 4th.

Ouch... My dad works on PCs for a living, so we have about 3 computers and a laptop + lots of broken computers and monitors, and also a laptop that my dad is re-programing. (He's the only one who knows how to use it. :P )

My family possesses three computers, too--one is really old and slow, one has a tiny hard drive space and has no internet (that's the one in my room), and the third is the one I use all the time, such as when I'm on this forum. :)

But there's a guy who kind of boards with us, and he shares my room. One of his hobbies is working on computers, so he's got a really cool fast one of his own, plus he's working on like four others, so there are computer parts all over in my room.

You start school on the 4th, Jimmy? Loool...I start on the 9th.

Lucky... I start the 3rd... *sigh* and I'm not a fan of school either. I would rather be homeschooled... my dad, whose a math matician, could teach me math, and my mom spelling a grammer since shes good at that. My dad can't spell as well as my mom, and my mom can't do math as well as my dad...

Anyway... I spend most my time in the rpg section, oor the club section, but mostly in the rpg section...

Yeah, well my mom actually is my teacher (at school!), so there's no way I can get away with not having my homework, etc. But I don't have school until the 9th. *gloats* Hah.

Well, at least you all are online right now. I've been sitting around for the last three hours or so, bored to death. Now people are actually getting on. *cheers*

[Off topicness]What do you guys think of my new banners?

2 person rpgs usually work the best. there's definitely more character developement, and one character doesn't take precedence over the other (as is what happens in most other rpgs)

Thanks, Jimmy. Care to point out any flaws that I, with my Creator's Blindness, failed to notice?

I don't think I'd really enjoy a two-person RPG--it would be a little less of an RPG and more of a story, I think, and I don't really enjoy the idea of writing a story with someone else--ideas clashing and all that doesn't sound appealing.

I never have, actually. I always thought it might get boring after a while :) I think four or five people is perfect for an RP - any more, and it gets confusing, and any less and it starts to be uninteresting after 20 pages or so. I should try a one-on-one RP sometime, though...

I post a lot with just three people and it usually turns out fine - some of the Potc Rp's I'm in have a small number of people, but we usually get a great story line and more into the story.

My Star Wars: The Aftermath of War RPG has been going since January/February with just 3 people. It's definitely not confusing, it can just be a little while between posts, because we're all really busy, and for me at least, while I wait for someone else to reply, I sort of shift out of the mood, so then I kind of leave it for a while.

That's why I like writing stories alone, and RPGs with a minimum of 4 people.

Well, it's not like I've got vast RP experience, so I could totally be wrong. I don't know if I've ever been in a 3-person RP that stayed interesting very long, though.

if you really want me to critique... I would say fading out the smaller text for a bit so that the names Faramir and Boromir stand out more. but other than that, awesome job with the blending :D

It has to be a good match. Both rpers have to have complementing styles and ideas. The characters have to "click," for one, and usually a male/female combination works best. In my experience, the plotline waxes more intricate and the character developement becomes more evident. Both rpers are pressed for substantial posts, and that's where the unique ideas flow in. Curunir and I have kept up our Dragonlance one since last July (don't think he gets on as much anymore) and I'm currently in another one and it's painfully addicting.
