Okay. Basically, there is a wizard who conjers a dead person. That is not good, and it turns intosome kind of demon thing that hunts and stalks the main character (Ged). He has to find it and defeat it. Some how they tie in a girl. She has visions of him. Also, she has the other part of some impoertant articaft (he has the other part) To gether, the articaft thing will desrtoy the evil.

Kitty is a character from X-men.

I love the Earthsea books. I haven't seen the TV adaption, though, and I don't want to. Putting Shawn Ashmore as Ged ruined the idea of it for me. He's supposed to have dark (indian brown) skin and long black hair.

That and the fact that Ursula LeGuin claimed they went against her books, too.

Which society in the Earthsea series? There are a bunch of them, if you pay attention. However, the Kargs are the only pale-skinned ones--the others all seem to have dark(er) skin.

the whole series seems to be loosly based on the ionia peninsula and also the hebredes.earthsea is an island culture. a mix of celtic and greek.the kargs seem to be based rather on the egyptians and possibly abit on the albans who are a lost civilisation.they left wonderfull stone citys off scotland but nothing is known about them exept their name and that they had a very advanced pre bronze age culture.
