And yes, I actually do have trouble coming up with names quite often. My system consists of coming up with the most random names I can off the top of my head, then tweaking/twisting/adjusting them until they suit my 'mood'.

Ah, thanks, all! And I have LOTS of trouble with names... And my system is kinda wierd... I usually leave the name till last, and if any of y'all have looked at my bios right after I've posted them, you've probably noticed that I have a knack for forgeting to put the names before I post the bio. Anyway, my system is to write out apearences, history, and all the works out first, and then I picture them in my head. Now, for me, at least, everyone I know has a 'letter' when I think of someone, I think of a letter, if you follow me, and so, once I find my charrie's 'letter' I build off that. Still really hard to come up with names though... And lately I've noticed that I especially like the letter 'K' and the letter 'T'.

And I like using the same names in most rpgs... so I can remember them all! If I have different names that I usually don't use, I have to right them down on a sticky note thats always on my desk...

I think up my own names--I only use name generators if its a LotR thing or something else where the names mean things in the language of the land (e.g. Aerandir means sea-wanderer).

For fantasy, I usually use names I've already come up with, or a generator. For LotR names, I usually use some website.

As for RPG ideas... yeah, my brain juices are dead. I like ones where there's more than one set of characters, like, crossover RPGs. Everybody is confused and its fun.

I've never used a name generator. I like to choose names that either have a meaning related to the charrie, or just modify a name from books I've read - but it has to intuitively 'sound' like it fits. A lot of my names tend to end with 'a', I've noticed, and be three syllables or less.

Lol, Valera. I think most of my names end in an "l" or "n." Most of them start with a "D," "J," or "T." And occasionally an "S" or an "A."

But like I said, I only use name generators if I want my name to actually have a meaning or something instead of just looking cool or feeling right.

Just became a college freshman; be on sparingly

My muses have been awesome lately, I have three different RP ideas I'm contemplating sending in. I think I know which one it's going to be, but that one also happens to be the only one that's not typed out and ready to go

Names...hmm...*thinks of main characters in RPs* Currently I have Merrin, Nakaida, Rhaeryn, Silvryn, Aedha and Kiarryn. Merrin was completely off the top of my head, probably some subconscious manipulation of the name Erin (which is my best friend's name) and Nakaida I thought was original until I discovered that the composer of my new piano piece was Yoshinao Nakada (though Nakada is Nah-kah-dah and Nakaida is nah-kie-duh). So I guess some of my names are semi-original, and others are manipulated names I've discovered. I use www.geocities.com/fantasynames somewhat, which I believe is where I found inspiration for Silvryn, Rhaeryn and Kiarryn. I like names that end with -ryn.

Blue Riders rpg was a dream! Yeah... I've beeen having this one strange dream thats really wierd... like I dream each chapter every night! lol! It's gotten way out of hand!

One of them was kind of in the Kingdom Hearts style... thats when I played KH for hours on end... once I had a strange dream about me not being able to post on A-U... and then I was playing LotR the 3rd age till the late hours of the night and had a dream like that! So what ever I do before I go to bed effects my dreams! It's really wierd...
