Well sit her down --- tell her the real meaning of emo if she doesn't know already, tell her that sometimes people make fun of emos, and some 'emos' take offense to things like that so she might want be careful who she says it to or about.

Ever noticed that the climates seem more condensed in the land of Avatar than in our world? Seems as though it doesn't take them long to travel to the South or North pole...but then, a lot of time does pass between episodes. I like that about Avatar.
Also, it never snows in fire nation or earth kingdom territory? I'm sure I'm exaggerating, but I don't think we've seen snow anywhere but the water nation.

LOL i can't believe there is an Avatar post!!! tha funiest thing go tme watching it. my little bro started watching it and i thought it was the dumbest thing ever, but them my friend came over and we watched it for no reason at all and now i love it! lol the best charcters are sokka nd toph and appa!!! i was so sad when he left! zuko is pretty cool until he turned against his uncle in that one episode and the one when it showed his past...i found that to be very sad. lol i still can't believe this many people like it!!! lol can i join the club?? lol yeah my 11 year old bro introduced me.

Nie: Hmmm, I don't know --- we haven't seen any deaths in book 2, but we did see the two finale deaths in book 1 so it's all up in the air. It seems almost unkind to kill off Iroh.

I was watching Winter Solstice Pt. 1 and 2 when I realized that the Fire Nation already knew Zuko was a traitor ever since Zhao found out that he was the Blue Spirit so he was a traitor by helping Aang escape in "Blue Spirit". And then, the firebenders with Zhao were not killed by Iroh, they were just knocked out so of course they knew Iroh was a traitor then.

I just saw those episoeds too!

I was wondering. Iroh used to be a great war general. Was he cruel? He did make a joke about burning the whole city of Ba Sin Se to the ground. How did he change? My thoughts were that after he lost his son it changed his veiw on war and made him realize that he could loose all he loved.

Yeah --- Personally, I would probably have been like that too. All the tales and legends --- and they say you're just born to be a legend, to conquer all these nations, and if I had the upper hand in evreything, I would be war-crazy too, but not after my son died. No way.

I was thinking today about death in Avatar. I can tell they've been avoiding too much abject violence or death, which is good, especially considering it's a kids' show. I like the fact that they can make the evil characters threatening without showing torture or murder right on screen. But some characters have to die before the end. It can't be a really realistic plot without at least one "good guy" dying, I think. And if/when the good guys win, they can't just chuck all the bad guys in jail. Besides, Aang has to fight the fire lord. Someone has to die.
