I hated them for the longest time. I heard one of thier songs forever ago and didn't like it. Then I hated how popular they were and all of the screaming Gerard fangirls. I think I just assumed I hated them without really giving myself a chance to like them.
And then.... somebody (yes, tim4x, I'm talking about you) made me listen to them again. And listen to their good songs. And now..... I love them. I LOVE THEM. It's so weird, but they're awesome. I became totally obsessed with Helena, both the song and video. And I like a bunch of their other stuff too. I find that their pre-Black Parade stuff is better for me, but that album is actually pretty awesome too.
By the way LDM, you might want to try this site: http://www.radioblogclub.com/
Hopefully that works out for you. They have a ton of MCR stuff, including what I'm pretty sure is the entire track list for the new album.
And actually, I'm listening to Famous Last Words on there right now. *dances, rocks out, and sings along*

^I'd agree with the statement that their old stuff is better. Listen to "Vampires Will Never Hurt You." It's freakishly awesome.

A whole bunch of kids from my school went to their concert and I heard that they were awesome! I didn't get much about how the performance was except that they were good. Here's what I did hear: 'Gerard Way is totally hot' and 'The bassist Mikey Way is wicked hot'
Hmm...maybe I should talk to some guys if I want to know how they were...

Well, I usually just listen to the music, so mostly I have no clue what the artists look like. Alright, I actually did see the music video to Famous Last Words... they're slightly goth/emo-ish, aye?
*doesn't know who Gerard is, and doesn't think he's hot*

^He's the lead singer, and he's not. He's awesome and talented, but I don't find him hot. I'm not sure why. I just don't.
Slightly goth/emo-ish? Understatement of the century. But that's part of why they're awesome.
Yeah. I think I've finally got past the strangeness of liking them. I can admit it without feeling weirded out now.

^Wow. That's strange, but I guess that's how a lot of people are.
I, for one, have been a fan since I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.

Alright, I'll change it to "rather goth/emo-ish" hehe
I think I might have seen someone with a MCR banner.. so could I say they've got slightly inspired by Green Day in song style and appearance?

I'm ridiculously and insanely excited about it. Though admittedly, more for the Muse than for the MCR. But MCR rocks too. YAY!
