My mind has gone totally blank for inspiration in any RPG besides Star Crystal and And Legends Became Real. I can't even think of anything to write for my Star Wars RPG, so now I'm feeling really bad. I hate times like this.

Is anyone else besides Elenya and me feeling very uncreative right now?

I already had a bit of an uncreative stint in February, I'm better now. But I know what you mean. I've got my first chance, I think ever, to play Will in a PotC RPG so that takes some amount of creativity. Will's more difficult than one would think.

Between posting I tend to do various other internet things, and if I'm not doing that, chat on MSN. Besides that, though, if I'm bored I'll hunt up a story of mine and write some small addition, which usually tides me over.

And yeah, I still don't know who to nominate - there are so many good RPers out there :P

Elenya, yes you can nominate anyone. Melda, polls close this weekend so find someone quick :P

I've been reading back on old rpg posts lately, and I've discovered that my posts used to be really short (3 liners, 5 liners). Within the space of two months my posts seemed to have quadrupled in size... take Crystal and Elements as prime examples.

Indeed, almost everyone in those two tends to write a novel every time they post. I quite like it. I find that the length of my posts is directly dependant on whether or not I like a) my character and b) the RPG. In both Crystal and Elements I like both, which translates into longer posts.

But writing novels is sooo much fun. :)

My situation has not changed at all right now, so I'll try to get in a post in Star Crystal and whatever else I can today, but I doubt I'll be all that successful.

And both Melda and LDM--I posted in "And Legend Became Real," so.....now you need to post, so I can post again, because that's one of the ones I don't have to strain to come up with a post for.

EDIT: I might have a clue about why my creativity seems to have been sapped recently--over the course of today, I've come down with the flu. :annoyed2: That's never good for my RPing. When my customary headache is suddenly pounding away in my head, it becomes a lot harder to think something up.

Thats kind of like me, when every I get a cold I can't draw or paint or write. I have no creativity for most of the winter.

Say what? Can I be reminded? Aye, that I am. I am reminded that it is open. Now I just need to beat my brain into submission so I can finally come up with that bio you're waiting for. :)

I'm with Aerandir  Still no bio for that one. Life's been sort of crazy.

....:annoyed2:

Y'all let this get to page two without giving me anything to reply to.

I'm starting to formulate an idea for my character in "Rebuilding the North Kingdom" though, so I should be able to jot it down soon. :D

Aww, I'm so honored.

Right now, I'm making a first attempt at RP romance. [Diamond Shards]. It's really very interesting, as I'm strongly trying to avoid the sappy... "I'll love you forever my sugar plum" ... cliche, and yet at the same time stay away from a humorous or comical romance. Any idea's from ye olde RP veterans?

Wellll, as of now I've only done one RP romance that actually got somewhere, and that's in Star Crystal, Merrin and Kendath. No, that's not entirely true, Nakaida/Orindil's gotten pretty far too. Anyway, I would say that for a romance to be interesting and fun, it can't all be flowers and smiles. Your characters have to have difficulty, and be confused, and whatnot. Angst :) Also, their personalities need to be compatible. I think that's hard to judge, but if you do romance often with one person you'll figure out how their character(s) and yours work together.

In my experience, romances that've started out as nothing but began to develop through the rpg are the most enduring ones. It's just no fun when the two characters start out in love. Both users and characters have to complement each other, which doesn't necessary mean have similar personalities, but they have to feed off each other.

W00t for PotR! *applauds* Awesome, mate, you deserve it :) And the banner is spectacular, LDM. Very nice. Also, kudos to everyone who got nominated - I honestly could not decide who I thought was best! So many good RPers here.
