The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy by Terry Brooks. It's VERY good! Incredibly well written!

Aftering going uchronia crazy [see my last post in this thread] I decided to read "Rememberance". It was a bit depressing at parts but it definitely offered a different insight into the lives of women in World War I England.

The Golden Compass. I really don't like it. I think I'm going to stop reading it.

Thanks! I liked the first ones better also, especially the 1st!

@Tar-Bossa- It starts slow, but I promise, it gets better and better!!
The Lovely Bones was really good, I liked it.
Now I'm on to The Tenth Circle, by Jodi Picoult. Sad, but good.

Had to read that one for advanced language arts type thing in grade school. I loved it. It's actually really good once you get into it. The beginning is a little slow, but I promise it gets better. I never did read the rest of those books. I should fix that.
Still Eldest. Stupid hectic schedules. I am more than halfway through now though.

I quit Eldest. It was pretty slow and pointless (IMO)
I am currently enjoying The People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPreau.

The last part of Eldest is the best. And its really need to know info. Especially if you like Murtagh.

You know, I've heard that from everyone thats read the books, but I'm just impatient and the story so far is killing me. It reminds me vaguely of a Tale of Two Cities which gets so good about 3/4s into the book, but not good enough to make up for the rest of the book. So I'm apprehensive about the whole thing.

Just started... Helen of Troy by Margaret George. Long, but good (so far anyway).
