Another Man o' War by C.W. Anderson. It's a dinky little thing, about 110 pages, that I bought from the thrift store a few weeks ago and I realized I needed to read it, so I am. (Besides which, it's about a (fictional) descendant of the racehorse Man o' War, so you really can't go wrong! ) And after that's done I'm going to reread The Silmarillion.

Thats exaclty my plan after 'the God Delusion' by Richard Dawkins. He is a complete legend you know, I went a science conference where he was involved in a 'discussion forum', his voice is so full of wisdom.
Great book by the way, you should read wether your religious or and Athiest.

I think I'm going to stop reading it. Had to read that one for advanced language arts type thing in grade school. I loved it. It's actually really good once you get into it. The beginning is a little slow, but I promise it gets better. I never did read the rest of those books. I should fix that. You know, I've heard that from everyone thats read the books, but I'm just impatient and the story so far is killing me. It reminds me vaguely of a Tale of Two Cities which gets so good about 3/4s into the book, but not good enough to make up for the rest of the book. So I'm apprehensive about the whole thing.
Don't be apprehensive. Once it picks up, which is not that far into it if I remember correctly, it stays exciting for the rest of the book. I was glad I had to read it for school because otherwise I might have put it down. But I was forced to keep reading it and it was worth it.
Is it just me or are about fifty people reading Eldest around here? Craziness. I'm almost done. Only about 150 pages left I think.

I've been meaning to reread Eragon and Eldest for the longest time (since before the movie came out) but my mom's got my copy of Eragon and she's taking forever to read it...and I keep forgetting to ask my friend if I can borrow her copy.
(started The Silmarillion this morning)

i'm reading a collection of plays by kneehigh theatre company - tristan and yseult, the bacchae, the wooden frock and the red shoes. they're not the sort of plays you can just read because they involve a lot of phyical and visual stuff, but i was lucky enough to see tristan and yseult so i can kind of see their style in my head.

I just finished it, and thought it was great! It kept me guessing right till-and even after-the end!

i'm reading Great Expectations for my English class. I like ti well enough, but speeding through it gives you a headache, especially with Dicken's detail! Plus we have to annotate the book. It's not a mthod of storytelling that I enjoy.
In my free time I'm rereading parts of I,Robot, which is an awesome book and also an awesome movie, though they are very different.

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean. I had to read A Tale of Two Cities for school. Dickens is just... *shiver* not my style.

aside from constantly reading the script for kneehigh theatre's tristan and yseult because it is just so heartbreakingly beautiful, i've just started reading robinson crusoe.
