I talk really quiet, though it doesn't have anything to do with where I live.

You're pretty much my fave person ever for saying so.
And we tend to talk loudly, also. I don't know if that's a region thing though.

Coke, shopping cart, water fountain...
I took a trip to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania last Tuesday and we went to this haunted Jail... if anyone has ever heard of the place with the handprint that won't come off the wall, that's where we went.

Well, it was very exciting! We first went on a scavenger hunt around Jim Thorpe and found different stuff as listed on our worksheets. My teacher lives in that area so she knew a lot of people (we even got free chocolate! )) Then we went to the jail. The story goes back to four people that rebelled against the owner of the coal mines a long time ago. The four men were put on a trail for opposition, but they had no idea the trial was rigged. So either way they were sentenced to hang in the jail - they even built a special gallow for them, made for four people so that they would all be hanged at once.
While they were awaiting death, one of the men, Alexander Campbell placed his handprint against his cell wall and said something about it lasting until he was proven innocent (I can't remember exactly)
So the handprint is there even until today.
We had to go down into the dungeon part of the jail and all of us started screaming because we thought we heard noises and the worst part was that there were only like, 2 lights and they were very dim. So that was really creepy.
Afterwards we went into a coal mine and it was pretty cool.
Lots of fun if you're ever up here in PA!

How did this end up a game of this or that?
Anyway...I've never been out of the country (except to Canada, and they're pretty much American anyway) so I've never really had a first-hand look at cultural differences...anyone feel like sharing?
