It's representative of a new, more unmagical world. I mean, seriously, the Kraken is one of the most mythical beasts in the movies, and when it's dead it means that everything is losing the...magic.

Ah, I haven't seen it yet. I might see it tomorrow though. But yeah, it must have broken Davy's heart to kill his Kraken. Well his heart was broken in the first place but never mind.

Well, I don't think he had much love for the giant squid, to be honest. In the movie he seems more sad because he lost some power.

Well it would make anyone sad, to go from being in charge of all the seas to being pushed around by some pompous guy! (meaning Beckett)

Oh I loved that scene. Where Davy's just alone in his organ chamber and he only has two tentacles on the organ and he has a tear and the way his tentacle wiped it and he looked at it. I just saw it last night. I loved every moment with Davy.
