<b>Was there anything special about the husband that would cause him to murder his wife(like a medical condition)?</b> No.

Does this have something to do with religion at all? Does this have to do with a certain culture?

Nope, no religion, no culture. Wow, this riddle's a real brain-twister, I guess, huh?

That is why I complimented on your choice of a riddle earlier.

I am thinking that Stephanie knew something about the husband to be able to exclaim that it was murder. Am I going in the right direction?

Alright.

He is not cheating on her.
He doesn't have a medical condition.
This isn't something religious.
This isn't something cultural.

Was the reason he murdered his wife due to a hobby that he had?
Was it his job?

I know I said it had to do with something about the husband, but not in THAT sense. .... Y'know... I don't know how to say this without giving it away.

I am guessing you mean that the husband was just a normal guy?

Well, he murdered his wife---that can't be normal.

I was earlier going to say that he was like Gollum, but you ruled out medical condition.

Was he a terrorist or a secret agent?

Thank you, Captain Obvious! :P (I realize that sounds kinda rude, but I've always wanted to say that, so I'm not trying to be mean)

Ummm....Jeese, Kit. You've really thrown us through a loop. The husband..went on the cruise with Mrs. Phillips, but he was not mentioned anywhere in the artical?

Bad guess, I know, but I'm desperate.

<b> Was he a terrorist or a secret agent?</b> No.
<b> The husband..went on the cruise with Mrs. Phillips, but he was not mentioned anywhere in the artical? </b> Um.... The way I answer this could be misunderstood as in, "Yes, you're right---he wasn't mentioned in the article." or "Yes, he was mentioned in the article." or "No, he wasn't mentioned in the article." or "No, you're wrong, he was mentioned in the article." So I'm just gonna say <i>"No, he WAS mentioned in the article."</i>

I am guessing that the husband was mentioned in the article because he was the husband, not the murderer. After all, everyone thought it was an accident. Right?

Was there something wrong with the husband?
Was it that the husband thought there was something wrong with his wife?
