Okay I have finaly returned to the wonderfulness of the Lost thread. Hello! (waves) First off I am really sorry that it took me so long to get here to talk about it. I have been busy and that week I was Very busy (which was why I could not do a recap). Sorry again. Eek... . (sighs)
Okay secondly I loved and yet hated the season fainale. All of the PBandJ moments were beutiful. I especialy loved their kiss. The moments like the ones in the finale are the reasons that I ship PbandJ. If Charlie really did die and stays dead, I do not know what I shall do with myself. They really were one of my favorite ships. To say the least, I must admit that I truely am disappointed and more than a little bit mad that Charlie died. To the point that I have signed a petition to bring him back. I want my Charlie and I want him now! For goodness sakes he was the reason that I started watching Lost. I would watch it without him...but it just won't be the same without him.
On that story's note I would like to ask, since Charlie's death have you became more protective of Claire or do you care less for her now that Charlie has died for her?
Then on a much happier note I Loved the scene were Hurley ran the Others over with the hippie van. I just did not see that comming. It is was amazing! Also I liked the little hints that they dropped that Kate might be pregnant. Ooh, I so hope that she is! I want a baby Skate....Frimples! Oh, so much potiental for good story lines and even fanfiction with that possability!
Allright I have another question...why do you think that Sawyer told Hurley not to come with them? Sorry about all the questions...but we have a long time until it re-airs...(sighs) A very long time. On the up side I did read that the third season will be comming to dvd on the 11th of December!
Do any of you have the Lost board game? Is it hard? Do you like it?

Master-of-Buckland, Welcome to the Lost thread. I am a bit of a newbie myself, as I have yet to see the first half of season three and two of the season one discs (stupid video store... ) Anyway to try to answer your questions...yes Matthew Fox has talked about leaving (suposedly). What was said was that he wanted to look into doing movies full time or something Very close to those lines and I read about it around a month or two ago in the TV Guide magazine. See they had interviewed the writters (I believe that was who it was) and a couple of the cast members.
To be truethful we do not know who the Other are yet. All we know is that Ben killed the Dharma people (they were people who are suposed to have come to the island to study the island and try to gain peace) after the Hostiles (suposedly the island natives) and Ben planned such and then at least one of the Hostiles (a guy named Richard) joined who we name call the Others. I hope that that helped.

Banana_Republic, That is very possable. As I said what I read may be a bit of old news (I read it a month or two ago). Plus what I read just said that Matthew Fox wanted to do movies full time (not that he would be...or that he would quite Lost to do such...or that he would stay with Lost). In honesty it really did not eleborate upon when he might do movies full time (or that he would for sure...just that he wanted to). So your information may very well be correct. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Honestly I think it would be kind of stupid for him to leave unless the writers want to write his character out. The show is over in 3 years so why not wait?

I have to agree, I think it would be very dumb of Fox to quit now. If the writers were forced to kill Jack off or something because Fox didn't want to be on the show anymore...that just sounds cruel to me. Especially when he's one of the VERY main characters But he hasn't died yet, so I'm not too worried And like JF said, he has been able to do some movies during the show - the one I saw and remember was...can't remember the name but it was a good movie about football

DD, I was heartbroken over Charlie’s death too. For the first few minutes after his last heroic act, and death, I just ached all over and wanted to sob.
And then came the scene where Jack beat up Ben... and I pretty much had an emotional breakdown.

Now, though, I guess I’ve finally lapsed into a little bit more contentment about the whole thing. At least the writers gave Charlie a beeeeeaautiful death scene, in my opinion it was the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen. The more I watch it over, the more I think they gave Charlie what he deserved in a climax. So poetic. So heroic.

Although I do still mourn him. And I do still cling to a vague hope that they might bring him back... at least in some flashbacks or something. After all, with Evi still on the show... it wouldn’t be that hard to get Dom.

I have DEFINITELY become more protective of Claire and Aaron now. When Claire finds out about Charlie’s... ye gods... I don’t know what I’ll do. It will be terrible. Strangely enough, I’ve also become more attached to Desmond [who I really disliked at first.] I think Des is going to go through a really hard time now, and blame himself for Charlie’s death... so I really feel bad for him.

I think Sawyer told Hurley not to come with them because: 1) He was tired and frustrated, and a little on-edge because of Juliet [hiss, spit]. 2) Because he didn’t want Hurley to get hurt.

We've got to keep this thread alive until Feb. Please. I insist... you guys can help me in my Lost withdrawals...

JF, Well I do know that Matthew is doing Speed Racers (a movie). So he must be doing at least some movies. Oh yes he makes a ton of money. Up in the millions I read. There was a big fight between him and Josh Holloway last year (I think that it was) over the money because Fox was taking in so much money (and more than the rest of the cast). So he is certainly not hurting for money.

Banana Republic, JF, and Gilraen Ringeril, I could not agree more that it would be a stupid move on Fox's part to quite Lost.

Fencing Maiden, Oh I am so glad to hear that I am not alone in missing Charlie. I loved that character. I just can not believe that they killed him off. He was the very reason why I started watching Lost! (sighs) Well like you said, it was a very heroic death at least. I was glad of that. They did give him a good death scene. Despite it being heart wrenching. ..(sniffle).
Oh me too! When Charlie first died I got mad and said that I did not care one bit what happened to Claire and/or Aaron but after a few days I decided that if anything bad happened to either one of them I would be heart broken all over again. Charlie gave his life to protect them so now I just care all the more about them. However it did not make me feel more protective of Desmond. I still (oh please do not kill me ) want him to go find another button to push in some other hatch and for him to stay down there for the rest of the show. It made me so mad that he let Charlie die. Maybe there really was nothing that he could have done to save Charlie...but still. He nearly let Charlie die in the jungle by way of that arrow... He just gets on my final nerve.
Oh I have new news! On this year's teen choice awards (I think that they come on Sunday, August the 26 at 7/8c on Fox or maybe it is on August eighth...I am pretty sure that it is the 26th though) Lost is up for like best television drama, Michael Emerson as best television villian, Matthew Fox as best television drama actor, and Evangeline Lily is up for best drama television actresses.
