I haven't watched it yet, but I believe my sisters are watching it now.. which just means that I can't go out there because it would be the middle of the plotline, and I will be like: what?

I don't know what series we are on either.
I do know that it has been running for at least 5 years because it said that Monk got nominated this year, and that would be the 5th nomination. Then, if he wins, that would be his 4th Emmy. Which is a nice even number.

Well you should find out what episode you last saw, and look it up on Wiki as it will give you a series guide. I know that you guys are or were on series 5 and that series 6 was being filmed, but what was a while ago, so you may even be on series 6 now.
Yeah, he's done really well with the Emmy's. I'm very pleased for him.

No, I'm waiting for series 5. The BBC messed around with series 4 so much, taking it off for other programmes etc, that it look much, much longer than 16 weeks to show Monk. Many months, so long in fact, I could actually have bought the DVD box set, about 5 episodes before the series ended on TV. Which is not what happens. Usually box sets come out well after the series has finished being shown on TV... but they took so long...

I think I remember something like that... wasn't he test piloting a plane or something, and Monk stood in front of the plane so he couldn't take off?
