That scene is just priceless.
I also love the scene where he's sitting watching the ..I'll say 'footage' to avoid spoilers. His reaction to what he sees just made me crack up. I dunno if it should have, but the way he fell backwards just did me in lol

I know the bit you mean. ;) And I also found it funny when he said he moved the TV away for the kids own good, and yet he was clearly as obsessed, or if not more so, by what he was watching than the kids.

^Agrees with above statements- I really like Joaquin's characters! He acts so serious, but he has some of the funniest parts in the movie.

That's very true. Actually the same is of Mel Gibson. He also is a serious character but he has lighter moments as well. It is usually to do with the kids though, and some of the things they say and the way he and Joaquin react. :teehee:

The bit when they were running round the outside of the house trying to scare off the intruder was hilarious. Mainly because Mel Gibson as his character, was useless and completely over the top and Joaquin was just funny.

That's one of my fave scenes! It cracked me up. The look on Mel Gibson's face while he's running is priceless.

"ARRRGH! I'm insane with anger! I'm losing my mind! It's time for a butt-whupping!"

"We're gonna tear your head off!!"

Sorry Kit. They're not really spoilers though, just little scenes we liked... which by the time you watch Signs you will have completely and utterly forgotten.. due to this little gizmo you are now going to look at...

*wipes the last 4 minutes from Kit's mind*

All better now. :-)

 That was the thing that sprang to mind when my brother said that his next film would be about the Earth fighting back... having it sprout arms and randomly shoot itself with a machine gun was going a bit far I thought.

I never knew the Earth was so smart. D; That's a scary thought though---hmmm, Shyamalan might be going somewhere with this.

Gah, I'm so excited! :D

*glances round nervously*

If I see any giant bullets or frying pans flying round at least I'll know whose to blame. XD

*bouncey wouncey*

So am I! We should start a countdown like the Potter-[s]heads[/s] people have.

Let's make it 8. :bounce:

I know you can get little counters like that, and you can customise them. I'll have to try and find one. :D

=D Awesome!! Please do.

I have noticed that Shyamalan doesn't do romance that much. The Village is the only one that includes romance ---- and how very well he did that pairing ---- I wonder if he's... uncomfortable doing romance or he just doesn't feel that it relates to the overall idea/theme of his films.

.... xD No... Sorry, I just... my fanfics are never as great the ideas I incorporate in them. If it does turn out half-decent, I will consider showing you all.

Cool idea with the counters, JF!

I hadn't thought about that with the romance, but it's true now that I think about it! There were elements of romance in some of the others, but The Village is the only one with a strong romance... if that makes sense. I'm glad M. Night doesn't throw in a pretty girl just so the main character can have someone to kiss. lol

Psh, Kit- I'm sure your writing is great! lol Well, if you're willing to share, I'd be more than willing to read! :-D
