It was indeed... Oscar worthy....

Coincidentally, the only person in an M. Night film to be nominated for an Oscar was Toni Colette from the Sixth Sense...if I had to name 2 people who I think should have won an Oscar from one of his it would be her and Bryce Dallas Howard from the Village. They really made such an impact on me, and even though Collette was not in it that much, she really stole the show when she was on screen.

Agreed. Toni Colette did an excellent job, because let's face it----you don't really know how you'd react to your son acting weird and proclaiming seeing ghosts----but you can believe that you'd react to something like what Toni Colette portrayed.

I would've probably nominated Bryce as well for The Village, William Hurt for the Village and Paul Giamatti for Lady in the Water.

Definitely. The way she portrayed the mother... it was just nice... really wonderful character and she made her so human. "Mama, what you are thinking mama? Do you think I'm a freak? ...... Look at me face, I would never think that of you"....... I loved that she always said "look at my face" whenever he asked her something like that, and then she would always say "I would never". It was just really sweet.

Yes, I would agree with that list as well. If I only had to choose two, it would be those though. :-)

GAH. I must see Sixth Sense again.

And Unbreakable, I've gotta put a hold on Unbreakable from the library!

Had to return Signs---because the library only allows me to have it for a week. :p Boo!

Eh---whatever, I think it's free-- it's like under two dollars so I consider it free.

I thought Britain got films before us actually...

Or is it only Harry Potter films. xD I don't know....
I don't go to theaters often and I the only Shyamalan film I've seen in the theater is Lady in the Water.

Don't think there's an exact release date yet for The Happening, just that it's due to come out June of 2008 and it says they're filming right now.

No, we only got the first HP before you... and we are always behind you when it comes to films... the new Pixar film we won't be getting until October and you have had it for weeks. :-(

Which means we probably won't get it until September-October. I should just fly to America, watch it and fly back. :D

xD Shyamalan's worth it. Or you can get a private VIP screening of the film. :D Those are always fun. But then you'd have to know people...

He is indeed. :D Hmm... I could work on the getting to know people...

I see they have updated the cast list since when I first saw it.. John.. John... whatshisname, has now been added. He did the voice of Sid in Ice Age. He usually plays not nice people... I bet he'll be a bad guy of some sort... although there isn't usually a "bad guys" as such in one of M. Night's films.

Oh I ADORE John Leguizamo---I first saw him on SpikeTV's "The Killpoint" a rather violent, grueling TV series about a bank robbery turning into a hostage situation, he is a very awesome bad guy----and he's not bad-looking either. You might like him, JF. ;)
