I finally got to see Stardust last night, and I loved it. I was halfway expecting another Eragon (no offense to those who like Eragon), so I was pleasantly surprised by the originality of it (even if the soundtrack was a bit too identical to LotR in some places). I thought it was absolutely hilarious, and I may or may not have crushed on Septimus just a little.

Ooh I loved that movie. And the book for it. It wasn't like anything I've seen or read. Really great. And I liked Captain Shakespeare and Septimus. Yvaine made me laugh with her insults.

I loved this movie! I thought it was great. Captain Shakespear was just great as was Yvaine and I also liked Septimus a bit too ;) Thought Michelle Pheiffer did a good job too.
Very good movie.

Yeah, I did like how original it was. If they took out the "iffy" parts, it would have been a beautiful movie.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, though none of the local theatres are playing it.

Well, I finally saw it last week.

I really enjoyed it, although it was quite different then what I expected. I've read the book (a couple weeks ago), and I thought it was pretty accurate.

What really carried it along was the humor, which I thought was pretty funny. Some of it was a bit crude for my taste though.

All in all, I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if i'd watch it again... maybe i'll rent it when it comes out on DVD, we'll see when the time comes.

Just saw it yesterday... and it was soooo amazing. I definately loved the Ghost brothers, that was so funny. And when the main witch(forget her name) used the voodoo doll type thing to make Septimus fight te main character(forget his name), I could not stop laughing. I love the Ligtning Catchers, and Captain Shakespear was so awesome!

WHOO! I finally got to see this movie and it is AWESOME. I love it. I might have been a bit prejudiced toward it anyway.... But it was amazing. I had the basic ending figured out by the time Yvaine was hurtling to Earth, but I didn't care because they made it all so interesting. Lightning pirates were very unexpected. :P I loved the meeting between Yvaine and Tristan. So funny. And Septimus was totally cool.

I LOVE Stardust. It's everything a movie should be; beautiful, hilarious, adventurous and just plain awesome. The soundtrack is to die for. Robert De Niro is HYSTERICAL as a lovely transvestite captain. Michelle Pfeiffer is stunning and deliciously evil. Perfect, perfect movie!

:notworthy:

Yeah what do you mean by "iffy" exactly?

The movie was perfect just the way it was, anything gone and it would have ruined it!

I LOVE this movie!!! I saw it Friday night for the first time, and it was so cute and wonderful and funny! Robert DeNiro was HILLARIOUS and Claire Daines and Michelle Pfeiffer especially did very good jobs. :)

Stardust = <3

(Oh, I totally had a tiny crush on Septimus too PotR. ;) All of the ghost brothers were great!)

Ok, I saw this for the first time last night. And I have to say....

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry I never saw this in the cinema, man I wish I had seen Septimus on the big screen. *drools into next week* He is the personification of everything I love in a good is-he-isn't-he villain. :swoon:

*ahem*

But overall, I thought the film was truly brilliant. So nice to see something so refreshingly different, even if it is a fantasy, it was definitely unique story-wise.

I loved the scenery as well, amazing to think that is the UK, I mistook it for New Zealand.

The cast were awesome as well. Robert de Niro. Hilarious.

And the brothers were great as well. So funny. XD

Overall, definitely the best fantasty film I've seen since LOTR.

Glad everyone liked it. I own it too but it's been a while. I adore the story and the characters, and the story was just very well put together. I'm curious about the book though, oh if only I had time.

Gah, I wish I owned it, and not just rented it. I think I need to see it again.

My brother has the book so I think I will read it.

Love the soundtrack as well. Septimus is my favourite I think. :teehee:
