I wonder how old Sadwyn Brophy has been when he played Eldarion, because mostly the actors are older than the kids they play. Maybe I'll do some research on that. I'll inform you as soon as I've found something.

@Ánië: Well, I've searched the net for something about Sadwyn Brophy but I haven't found anything interesting or relevant so far. The only bit I've found is some stuff about Jed Brophy, who had some minor roles in RotK and TTT. He was born in 1963, so he could maybe be Sadwyn's Dad or some other relative.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but since we're already speaking of the LotR kids, didn't PJs children have some roles in the trilogy as well. I've been wondering if they are among the Hobbit children in FotR (Bilbo's party)...
And did Sean Astin's daughter actually play Sam's daughter in RotK?

Interesting. I think I read that Jed Brophy is Sadwyn's dad...

PJ's children do indeed play several children throughout the series. I don't know for sure about Billy but I know Katie is the little Hobbit girl who gasps when Bilbo is telling the troll story at his party. They're so cute! And Alexandra Astin did indeed play Sam's daughter Elanor. And the baby Sarah McLeod (who played Rosie) is holding is her own daughter Maisy. (Maisy was apparently also in the movie Bridge to Terabithia)

So, Jed and Sadwyn are related- I've thought that when I saw a pic of Jed.
And that with Sam's/Rosie's or Sean's/Sarah's children is really cute. How fitting that they could act next to their parents.

Yes, I've read that about Philippa's son playing Haleth as well, so I'd say he is the boy Aragorn is talking to in TTT, but I'm not sure either.
Half of the cast's family must have had small parts in the movies then.

Concerning Viggo's son: I've read somewhere that he was actually the one who persuaded Viggo to take Aragorn's role. He wasn't that interested in it before, but his son thought that a Das who has played Aragorn would definitely be cool.

@Ashwise: Really? There are pics of him in armour? I've never even recognized him in the movies... The only pic I could find was the one I've posted, but I'll search for that one.

Rose: Yep, Henry was indeed the catalyst that gave us Viggo. At first Viggo didn't want to do it, but his son is apparently a huge LOTR fan (yay!) so he convinced Viggo to call PJ back, and the rest is history.
