Borum gave the leashes to his cousin who sat next to him on the other side and took the sword, he examined it for a while and looked across it`s blade for a while. He gave the sword back taking the pipe out of his mouth.

"It sure is light.... but I believe it`s elven work because elves make their weapons usually light and easy to wield, but I have my belief that it cannot mount a hard hit as a dwarf weapon, but who knows.... "

He put the pipe back and continued speaking.

"You know Rinkemen... we might get attacked so you might have to use that and you must wary... there are warqs always ready to hunt travellers down and I don`t like it because we move way too slowly compared to them, but I am not going to abandon my profits because of few warqs... Has your family had elven friends because I could believe that to be a gift of somesort..."

Rinkemen took the sword back and sheathed it.
"Maybe he did know some elves, I don't know. He never said anything. He told me he bought it from a traveller."
He searched his pack and produced his own pipe joining Borum in a smoke.
"Ah i have faced more dangerous creatures then wargs master dwarf. They don't scare me."

Liran certainly hadn't expected such a crowd to come and listen to him, although thinking back, he rarely played without that happening. He bowed his head in acknowledgement to them and started putting the flute away. That usually dispersed the listeners. However, two girls, somewhat younger than himself, which had also been the first to arrive, remained, and came up to talk.

"You may call me Alyan," he answered, and bowed. "I was born in Dol Amroth, but it has been many months since I have had a home. I lead a wandering life. This is my first time here... And who might you be?"

Rowen answered this time.
"I am Rowen; this is Radiel. We've each lived in the city all our lives, and have little opportunity to meet foreigners, if you'll pardon the expression."
Originally, Rowen had been reluctant to speak to a stranger, but the young man's enchanting music had changed her opinion.
"You play beautifully, Alyan. Might I ask who taught you?"

Liran nodded to each as he was given her name.
"Thank you, my mother had me take lessons from one of the court musicians of Dol Amroth, Seitha was her name. But these last years, I have been learning on my own," he added, frowning. "Picking up songs through my travels, mostly."

Nineveh came home from her wanderings late in the evening the previous day and had been worried of what would be said when she would have to tell her brother what had happened. She knew she had hindered business in the shop and that both he and she would have to wake up much earlier because of it. However Rouin had never scolded her for wasted time and seemed to look forward to waking up earlier the next day. She had thought that very nice of him.

Nineveh now revolved in her bed to see her brother in good spirits looking down at her. She smiled and in a moment had followed him away from her room and down a ways to a door which lead outside.

One could only see the dark of the morning which had just begun and the sight of an occasional light coming from within homes and shops. The pair hurried down one road then onto another walking briskly in the chill morning air and not caring to pause until reaching the shop.

They hurried in and began to prepare the place for the work that lay ahead. Once this was finished, each set to his or her task which had remained unfinished from the day before. Thus the early hours of the morning wore on for them.

"You say you're a traveller," Radiel began. "Would you mind to tell about your journeys?" She smiled. "I love the stories of travellers!"

Borum smiled.

"You don`t say? Well I guess a man of your age has seen a lot, ecspecially if you were in Minas Tirith at the time of the war..."

Borum took the pipe out and looked at the sword.

"Well the traveler could have been an elf... or just a thief... because I doubt that the elves really give their weapons away easily since they aren`t the best smiths in some matter....but who knows?"

Rinkemen nodded.
"Hmm..."
He took the sword back and sheathed it.
"Well i have indeed seen much in my time Borum. I was at the great battle in front of those very gates."
He pointed behind him to Minas Tirith which was slowly becoming smaller.
"Did you experiance any of the violence back then?"

Borum blew smoke in the air.

"Of course... Erebor wasn`t in peace nor the rest of middle earth, there were orcs and goblins with their warqs not to forget the easterlings that sometime crept to our areas.... I was with my brothers fighting until Sauron was defeated, but I surely would have hoped to have been there to fight at the gates of your city....or are you from minas tirith?"

He nodded.
"Aye, Minas Tirith has been my home all my life. I have done my share of traveling and i have yet to find a better place in all of Middle Earth."
He smiled, feeling proud of his home.
"What is Erebor like? I never went there, though i hear dwarven places are well buit."

Borum was suddenly upset and slightly angry.

"You hear!? They are built better than any! There is nothing that can be compared with our craftmanship..."

He suddenly shut up and put the pipe back.

"I`m sorry... I just get mad when someone hasn`t known of our work, but that I guess is our own reason for living there amongst ourselves, but that is what I am trying to fix... Erebor sure is the dearest place on middle earth for me... I was born and raised there, everyday I can hear the sound of our smithy`s hammers and the flames that will help shape our material..."

He sounded slightly sad and blew smoke in the air.

"But then there are some down sides to everything..."

Rinkemen was slightly shocked by Borum's sudden change in mood. It was obvious that he felt dear for it.
"Well someday you must show me Erebor. It would be an honour to see such a place. By the way, from a dwarf's point of view, what do you think to my city?"

"My travels... well of course. I have not travelled very far, only through Belfalas and Lebennin. This is my first time so far North. Maybe you wish to be seated, it might be long."

Liran motioned to the fountain where he had been and when they were comfortable he sat on the ground in front of them, crossing his legs and holding the staff across his knees. He told them of walking through the country, catching rides from farmers, staying at villages and playing his flute, sleeping under bushes when there was no shelter to be found. The ruins from ages past that one could see, the mountains and forests and rivers and oceans.

By the time he finished, the sun was almost halfway up to its noon peak. He smiled.

"That is what I have seen, which is but a small part of the world.."

Borum calmed down and smiled.

"Ah... Minas Tirith... I must admit that it has been built with remarkable skill and care, the white walls and towers look beatiful as the sun emerges from the horizon and sheds it first rays of light upon them... a mighty fortress that can be only won with the forces of tens of thounsands... The people seem peaceful, but the traders are quite gready, if you know what I mean..."

He nodded and chuckeled.
"Ah yes. I go to a tavern called The King's Arms. Full of traders who will haggle every penny out of you. I once bought a ring from one for a small bag of gold coins only to find out that it was made of fools gold. I chased that man out of Minas Tirith!"
He laughed remebering the trouble he went to finding him.
"Showed him! Can't fool old Rinkemen."
