Of course you may! (The founder hasn't been on here for a while, so we can't add you to the member list, but we'll consider you "joined". ;) ) We can always use more Frodo fans, especially when it seems like this club is dying... Noooo, we must not let it die! lol

You're welcome! (Btw, love your Sam and Rosie banner!!)
At the moment, this club doesn't seem to be very active--i think part of that is that some of the other members don't have as much time with school and all. ('Tis a shame when real life gets in the way of obsessing over Frodo... lol) But if you want, you're welcome to join the Elijah/Frodo club (of which i'm the founder) in the Swoon Board--it's not very active right now either, but that way, at least you'd have two chances for possible Frodo discussion. lol Anyway, let me know if you want to join, and hopefully we can bring these clubs back up to speed sometime soon.

You're welcome! Well let me know if you decide to join--at any rate you'd be welcome if you do. Yes, it's certainly great to talk with others who love the Ringbearer as much as you do... Of course we won't let the club die (at least not permanently lol), but I'm not sure how active i'll be in this thread (or the other one I mentioned) at present... You see, i'm currently in a different "phase" of my interests... *glances at top banner* Don't worry, tho--of course i still love Frodo, and eventually i'll get back into a "Frodo phase", if I know me. lol :P But as long as you're the only other one posting here, i'll try to post as well, so you won't feel abandoned or anything. ;) Anyway...
Frodo lives! lol...

You're welcome. Glad to know you understand about phases and such. ;) Well, let's see... *tries to think of a topic* How about, what's your favorite scene with Frodo in it in the books and in the movies? (I'll tell mine when i post next.)

mmm let me think...in the books I love all the scenes I guess :P I mean, those books are too amazing to choose a part of them XD and in the movies...I love the last part of the fellowship of the ring, with frodo and sam...and in the two towers EE I love the "elvish rope" part...and the "samwise the brave" part :D
and in the return of the king, apart from the crowing of aragorn and the shire part, I love the crossway scene :)
the end is so sad though ;__;

Hello everyone!
Man, life is just waaaaay too hectic. BLAH.

Well.. I am in the frodo phase right now for you, Eauriel. *points at siggy*

Um.. my favorite scene in the books/movies with Frodo in it? Well...... I really don't want to sound all "evil" and such, but mine is Shelob's Lair/Cirith Ungol. *hides*

Explanation: I fell in love with this scene in the book based on how emotional it was with Sam thinking Frodo was dead. In my mind I knew that he wasn't dead, but Tolkien just made it so convincing, I actually cried. (The only book I have ever cried in.) Then, in the movie, they just did such a great job with Shelob that I couldn't help myself.

YAY! The thread has been revived! :bounce:

I'm sorry for my long absence, but you know the explanation (it has exactly four letters and it's the fourth word in smeag's post above. :P)

I know what you mean with "phases" - I'm not exactly in a LotR phase right now, because I decided some time ago to have a break on watching the movies - I've seen them waay to often. Anyway, I might get back into the mood soon, because I'm planning on watching all three movies on Christmas. :)

Anyway, of course I still love Frodo and always will. My favourite scene in the movies would be the Grey Havens and Frodo's breathtaking heartbreaking wonderful smile. ;-) Although I love almost every scene with Frodo in it.
I can't think of a favourite scene in the book, I loved ALL of them so very much. The one which made me fall in love with him, however, was "The Breaking of the Fellowship" with Frodo's suffering and his decision to go on.

Btw, I hope Starlight will soon have time to join us again. I miss her. :'(

I also really loved the scene in the Two Towers with Frodo almost giving the ring to the Nazgul.

^I found this one rather scary - with Frodo not being himself anymore and all that

Me too.

Hello all. I feel ashamed of myself for not seeking out this club before. But I'm here now, so it's all good, right? Anywho, I love Frodo. His sacrifice in the books is just.....it's hard to explain.

Favorite scenes...hmm. That's soo hard. In the movie, I'd probably have to say the Samwise the Brave scene as well. It's just so good! Actually, most of TT is good. Or the Breaking of the Fellowship. That scene is heartbreaking. "I don't suppose we'll ever see them again."

In the book, I love it right after Bilbo's party when he has to deal with Lobelia and sends Merry to take care of it all. Poor Frodo, swamped with Sacksville-Bagginses. :P

I liked the emotion and tension of that, and you could just see in Frodo's eyes what he was thinking and feeling... so sweet.
