^That pretty much sums up most of Elijah's performance... Lovely Frodo-centric sigs, btw, smeag and Nurr.
Speaking of the latter of whom, welcome! We're always glad to have another Frodo-crazy fan join us! And it's good to see you (for some value of "see" lol) again, smeag and FF! I know, i miss Starlight, too...
My fave scene of ALL TIME in the movies is that scene on the side of Mount Doom, where Frodo's crawling up, and then he collapses and Sam holds him in his arms. So sweet and heartwrenching! In the books...hmm...it might be the equivalent (tho regrettably my favorite part wasn't in the book--which is still good tho, of course). I like the whole Mordor sequence, tho, and...there are just so many other scenes to chose from! So...I'm not exactly sure. lol

I know what you mean...they're so sweet...I love their friendship, and how it really shines in the darkest of times (hence why my fave scene is the one on Mount Doom).
Yes, well, i'm glad to see that this club has suddenly been revived... I was starting to miss all my fellow Frodolovers.

Same here. In Rotk, I actually got annoyed with the fighting at Gondor because I wanted it to go back to Frodo and Sam. They should have editions of the movies that includes the scenes with only Frodo and Sam.

Lol... that'd be great for all of us, but then the other fans might want editions with only their favorite characters... And the other scenes are wonderful (after all it's lotr), even if they don't have Frodo and Sam. But admittedly, those scenes are some of the ones i like best, of course.
Speaking of which, my little sister(s) decided to watch our copy of rotk again today. I didn't watch all of it, but i got to see my favorite scene again, and that was nice.

Actually, i do know a bit. He lived with his parents at Brandy Hall (his mother, Primula, was a Brandybuck before she married Drogo) until he was twelve, when his parents drowned in a boating accident. Actually, Sam was born that same year, so i like to think that Frodo was given a gift at the same time something was taken away from him. Two years later, when he was fourteen, Merry was born. (There are some large age gaps between the four main hobbits.) He continued to live at Brandy Hall until he was 21 (i think), when Bilbo took him in and adopted Frodo as his nephew. (They were cousins before that.) When he was 22, the last member of the questing foursome made his entrance into the world, in the Tookish branch of the family.
So yes, i know a bit. Just a bit. lol

Wow.. you do know a lot.
The main age difference is Frodo.. the rest aren't that far apart.
I think Frodo should have a girl.

I kind of like it that he never married... For one thing, that lets me claim him as my virtual partner in the A-U family tree... lol But if he'd had one, she would definitely have to consider herself lucky. Actually, in fanfics, i like to write as tho he and Sam's older sister, Daisy (who's four years younger than Frodo), kind of liked eachother, at least when they were younger. She would have been the girl next door, after all, since Bagshot Row is right below Bag End on The Hill (i think).

I would think that Frodo would have liked someone more like a took with the possibility of adventure.

he definitely should....I like to think that if he found a girl, after the war of the ring and all, he wouldn't have left for the undying lands. I know it's quite impossible, but it's something I like to think
and it would be a veeeeery lucky girl too

No, he would have because the ring had killed him inside. If Frodo were to have a girl, he would have to have found someone who would go with him to the undying lands meaning she would also be a ringbearer.

Which probably makes it the best that he doesn't have a girl. I suppose Tolkien knew what he was doing. Aww, a little Daisy/Frodo romance would be so cute! I can just picture them playing tag or something as kids.
On the subject of Frodo/Sam scenes, my favorite is probably the end of FotR. His whole "I don't suppose we'll ever see them again.." is rather heartbreaking! And then Sam comforts him as always.

yeah you're probably right, but it's something my romantic mind likes to think
but it is an interesting point of view, someone who would go with him to the undying lands..yeah that's right...
and yeah Nurr that's a great scene too...

Thanks Revenge.
I don't know how many of you RP in the LotR section, but, if any of you have ever ventured over there and read about my character: Ruth Ann Underhill. She is my interpertation of how Frodo's girlfriend would act.

That sounds neat! I don't RP much, but I may check out your character. Yeah, it's sweet to think of Frodo and Daisy playing together, tho i'm not sure they could do that very easily, because of class differences and all. But that makes for very interesting fanfics. *tries to look innocent* *fails* Neat new Frodo banner and avi, btw, Revenge.
