Drew, you're welcome as well. :P thanks! Although I think after tomorrow I will probably have a few more great quotes in my mind. ;) ;) well, so had I until Millie said that. :P anyway, I was just doing my duties.

Drew's Destiny wrote:

^ aye, aye! I wuve Will and his adorable looks in CotBP! :swoon:

My plans for tomorrow consist of me and my brother driving to the store, getting the DVD ASAP, cramming it into the player, turning the surround sound on, sitting and watching many select scenes, the bloopers, some of the special features than watching the movie as a whole... aye! Actually my brother and I have commented that tomorrow basically almost IS a holiday! I mean it feels like it! :bounce: It's almost as exciting as Christmas! :-D

hehe, aye, Nienna! :-D This morning (when we went to get it ;)) I actually almost thought I was gonna pass out I was so excited I could hardly breath (pitiful sounding, aint it? :P)! lol but I survived although my mind wasn't entirely there. ;) and when we came home I did watch just about half the movie (all my fave scenes of it :P) and then later in the evening we watched the full thing... now I'm a little depressed that it's done and over, but I'm also sorta pleased about that. And I feel in the mood for some good PotC RPing... *jumps and dances off for the RP section ;)*

btw, since my brother was all worried and confused by the Willabeth ending (sorta like we were the first time we saw it in theaters) I decided to do some research on how exactly it ends. Here's what I found:

Apparently, originally the writers had a scene between Jones and Tia Dalma (probably extended off the one they do actually have in AWE) that told even more about the curse that's on Will and if he's freed after ten years or not. Well, in that deleted scene it is clearly stated that since Lizzie was true he WAS freed. BUT for some reason (I wonder if Disney forced it :yeahright:) they were deleted that very crucial scene to make it more intense or to be able to go two ways or something. Because they said that as the movie stands it most certainly does state that Will is bound to the FD forever and can only spend 1 day every 10 years with Lizzie, but in the deleted scene that totally changes the whole Willabeth storyline. so I'm gonna go with what I've been thinking all along... I'm gonna go with the writers and what THEY wrote about the Willabeth end... not the stupid Disney-made ending for our dear couple (which is basically a "choose-your-end" thing). :eyeroll: dumb, dumb Disney! Why do they have to make everything change and make the writers pervert their perfect work of art anyway? still, just thought I'd post that (although it has more to do with Willabeth than just Will ) just in case anyone else was confused or worried like me and my brother were. :)

I was! When I first saw it in theatres I was so sad because Will could only be with her once every ten years. Nothing explained the fact that he was free after he returned. But how is he going to live without a heart?

*Sigh* I'm tired. I watched Pirates twice yesterday, and then watched the bloopers a few times. Gosh they were great. Did anyone see the one of Johnny going down the rope and falling on his backside! LOL! Or when Keira was reaching for the rope on which to escape from the Dutchman and missed? It was also rather strange to see Beckett/Tom Hollander swear and then Johnny was like, "You can't curse in a Disney film, mate," LOL.

well, then I'm happy to hear I'm not alone... they really needed to add those deleted scenes that explain more of the Willabeth story. That's kinda how my brother and I were too, but then we did our research and figured it out... however, with the release of the dvd when we could really sit and watch it, it confused us again. :erm: so once more I researched it and everything I found pointed to that. The writers had the way they wanted to end it, but Disney wanted it to end either way. :eyeroll: Well, if you pay attention in the Tia Dalma/Davy Jones scene it is explained a little better... and the scene between Will and his father sorta explains it like he's able to stay with her after ten years. I think the heart returns to him. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it works. He is totally freed from the Dutchman.

I guess way back when Jones loved Tia and she gave him that job maybe to test him and how well he loved her or something, she told him after ten years they could be together if he did the job for her and all that. Well, ten years came and she wasn't there so he had to continue to do the job because the curse was on him (the whole until you get a love that's true and waiting for you thing)... that made him mad at her and the rest is history. So really it doesn't make sense that if Lizabeth was true that Will would still have to continue doing the job... because then what was the point of her being true? He would get to go on land once every ten years either way...
anyway, now I'm babbling so I'll shut up and hope it didn't sound like I was preaching or something.

another thing I did notice was they didn't really want to say anything for sure. a lot of the things in the special features said something to the effect "their story is still to be told.", "his story is still to be told", or "that story is still to be told". That's what annoys me so much! When something big like this happens they never just want to wrap it up! They always have to leave that little possibility of yet ANOTHER Pirates in there! :eyeroll:
but I'll stop the rant now...

wow, that many times? lol I know! The bloopers were the best yet! I still think the Tom and Johnny bloopers were some of the best on the whole thing! they had so many classic ones! And the ones where poor Mr. Rush's hat kept blowing off! I had a lot of fun watching those..... :P
One of my favorites was when Mr. Rush said:
"Nay, belay that!!! ...."
long pause.
"do somethin' else!"

hehe, yup I did. And I have absolutely fallen in love with it! :-D :swoon: It's waaaayyyyy better than Some Hearts! (and that one was pretty good) sorry to hear you won't get it til Christmas though! but for when you DO get it listen to All-American Girl, So Small, and Just a Dream (or it's something like that).... those are my absolute favorites! (although the last one is VERY sad! :'()

nope, not at all. well, I'm glad you had fun with it and thanks! :-D

I won't ;)

*pouts* You extremely lucky, lucky girl. :P Glad to hear it's so good though! I've heard mixed reviews from fans and non-fans... So far my favorite lyric on it (since I looked online and read all the lyrics - I was curious :P) is "The more boys I meet the more I love my dog." I may just have to adopt that phrase for something. ;)

:teehee: You're very welcome! :D

Good! It's an essential fact of life to learn! :P

(laughs) I love the "Aye, avast" line too! I just loved the face that he made right after he said it. It was that "Did I do something wrong...oh so innocent" look he gives. I just loved it!
Bet on it...hmmm...is that from Highshcool musical 2?...I have not seen that one yet... I am not a big fan of Highshcool musical (no offence meant to you or any other fans of it though...and I do like Lucas G. who plays in it) I will have to hear that song sometime though...since it is a Will song. :)

You're welcome. :)
I know! He's so CUTE in CotBP! Like a lost little boy, almost. You just want to give him a hug or something. :D
Yeah, it is. Well, you can find 3 or 4 Will-related "Bet On It" videos on youtube, if you'd care to look. Though actually you'd be okay not looking too. :P I liked the first one, I think it's really cute...the second one was meh-ish. I'm not regretting seeing it but I don't think I'd buy it or anything.

So I imagine the two disk DVD cost more? It's kinda stupid if they only put two scenes, though... :disgust:

It cost about $25 with tax and everything, at least at Target. And there was WAY more on there than just 2 deleted scenes! There was a featurette about the Maelstrom, and the Pirate Lords, and Chow Yun-Fat, and Keith Richards, and a bunch of other things!

Aramel, awww, I'm really sorry to hear that! It was right there by all the rest of the one-disc ones. but I am sure they'll be on YouTube someday.... try typing in "Two Captains, One Ship" and the other is "I Like Riddles". maybe that'll help. :) hmmm, yes, the two-disc one was roughly 5 or 6 dollars more. (like Anie said) and there was a LOT more on it... although I pretty much throw out the Chow Yun-Fat and Keith Richards stuff. :erm: *shudders* and the "tale of many Jacks" thing gave me the hebbie jebbies! :hide: it was terrifying to see that many people dressed up like Jack! but the thing on the Pirate Lords was REALLY good!

you said it! :-D

goldelf, hmmm, I dunno how that last scene changes that much. :) but at any rate, I suppose either Bootstrap is captain then or else the Dutchman…. Ummm, doesn’t need a captain anymore? :erm: that's a really good question...

Anie, thank you.... aye, it is really good. hmmm, I guess I haven't read any reviews at all. :erm: I don't really know what possessed me to get it other than I had heard So Small on CMT and I liked Some Hearts. :P Oh, that is a great song too! (hey there's nothin' wrong with reading the lyrics first. ;)) although the more I listen to Just a Dream the more I like it... so sad. :'( (hmmm, this has a lot to do with Will, doesn't it?... ;))

The Two Captains one is on Youtube! :swoon: I haven't checked I like Riddles yet, but I'll do that later. ;-) The wheel part was so funny and Barbossa was like, "Aah!" :teehee:

Well, I guess it doesn't matter - I'm content with the single disk - why pay extra money if it's going to be for free on Youtube anyway? :teehee:

It only cost me $23 :confused2: . Oh wait! Our dollar's lower right now. :duh: Wow. Sorry. Random blurb there.

And I've got grave news. I was looking through my precious DVD (I've been calling it "my precious" for the last few days, XD) and I found a page entitled "Pirates Secrets Revealed!". There was the question that we've all been asking. What happens to Will after ten years? Well, here's the disappointing answer, and I quote,
"Question: Since Will hono(u)red his destiny on the Flying Dutchman, in 10 years does he get to return to land for good, thereby freeing his father and the crew?"
"Answer: Every 10 years, Will may step on land for one day. He is bound to the Flying Dutchman forever."

:(

EDIT: By the way, I just added the "u" in "honoured" because we spell it with a "u" in Canada and I'm a bit of a grammar freak. XD

^Oh yeah, I remember reading that... It's sad that he's bound to it forever, but it was the only way to save him, so I guess he had to take that risk. I'm sure Elizabeth would do a fine job of raising their son herself, though.

Yeah. It's so sad, though! What if someone blew up the Dutchman? Would that kill Will? LOL Sorry for the randomness. I'm just trying to think of any possible way that he could shirk being bound forever.
