Question: In the film, when did Lyra find out that Roger was taken?

Hmm... I can't quite remember... I think it was when she was leaving with Mrs. Coulter she wanted to say goodbye to him, and she wondered where he was, but I don't think she realised what happened to him until she saw him at Bolvanger.

Hmmm, that's what I thought, so she couldn't've known that Roger was -at- Bolvangar, and yet she was looking for him???

Perhaps she put the two together - she knew Roger was coming with Billy Costa to try on the coat, then Billy disappeared and it was generally decided he was taken by the Gobblers, so when Roger was missing as well, she thought the same thing had happened to him.

Okay. I can buy that----wished they.... actually expanded on that but.... ah well.
So I was watching the trailer again and noticed that there are actually a lot of scenes cut out from the film----is it confirmed that they are working a sequel?

Yeah, I agree with you. It wouldn't have hurt for someone to mention the fact... you don't think he's been taken do you?
I don't know about that. It hasn't done well at all, so although it would be stupid not making another film, I can easliy see them not making a sequel.
