I just watched the last Monk episode a few days ago.. It was ok. I don't remember what it was called.. probably because the annoying computer is timing me, but I didn't like the fact that the plan wasn't THAT complex and you knew who did it pretty much halfway through it.

I don't know yet. I just saw the ad for the new series on TV. But I'll check that on the programme's website.

Well Natalie arrived in series 3, so you're either on series 3 or series 4. I actually don't remember an epsisode of that name, I'll have to check on Wiki.

The last episode was actually quite good. It was about a Chinese actor who has been dead for six years, but should have killed someone.
I've checked it now: From September 4th onwards, they'll show episodes 70-77. I couldn't find out which season it is, but in the first new episode Monk will meet his father. From the American release dates I guess, that it must be season 4 for us now. _________________ ~The Dreamy A-U Gentlewoman~

Honestly, I believe he is.
I mean, he has been conquering fears all throughout the show, and the fact that he is close to reinstatement means he is trying to portray himself as less OCD.
I would really like the final episode, personally, to be him completely normal.

Welcome, PD!  Hurray!
I, obviously, have seen "Mr. Monk and the Three Julies." I thought it was great. XD Leeland and Monk cleaning the car! Such cuteness!
I really loved the callback to the movie "Psycho." Ha ha ha ha! Really creepy. And then Randy dressed up as woman! PRICELESS!
But I officially became a Randy/Natalie shipper in this episode. The icecream scene was to die for! XD Which is an amazing thing, because I've been a Sharona/Randy shipper since the beginning...and I kind of resented Natalie for taking that place in that ship. But, seriously ... this episode changed all that.
I do agree that Monk seems to be getting better. By all means, he's a long way from full recovery, but since season one, he's really...grown. Hurray! Did anyone else think that in the episode before this last one, when he was a security guard, that he looked AWESOME in uniform?!
Although I don't want the show to end for a LOOOOONG time, when it does, I'd love to see him reinstated...in uniform.
But he does seem to be getting a wee bit better. Albeit, it's been a few years since season one. XD
Oh, but I LOVED Dr. Kroger in this episode. "I've always been proud of you for that."

It's a pretty good one... what did everyone else think about it? And is it just me or is Monk getting less and less obsessive compulsive and scared of things? 
But by all means he should so be reinstated by the end... whenever that may be. I thought I heard that Tony said he might want to end it after this (or maybe it was the next) season. 
"That's a new low" "no, actually, it's not. And that's the sad part." Or however the quote went.
