Rob Roy...
Liam Neeson was the... um... drool-worthiest Scotsman I ever have seen on screen. The action was great. And they stayed decently close to the book. And Liam Neeson. ...oh right, already mentioned that.

I don't see why everyone was freaking out about it. It was pretty pathetic. The songs have been ruined, the actors can't act, and the whole "psychadellic sixties" thing didn't fit in.

"Hallam Foe"
Oh god, that was AMAZING. I totally loved it. I had never seen Jamie Bell in anything before and he's like my new favorite actor. GAH. I might just have to go watch it again now.
"The Chumscrubber"
Sick, twisted, but awesome and a bit too true. Jamie Bell FTW!

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - cheesy and sort of dumb, just like I expected, but not a bad escape from reality. Although I occasionally felt like gouging my eyes out because the CGI was so bad.

Me too!! great movie. I've seen Jamie Bell in Billy Elliot, but it turns out he's a great actor too! Ohh and I loved his love... what is her name.. something Styles?

Haha, my mum hates Helen Mirren as well. I thought she was alone in this world. yep, that was the one. why did little heathcliff scare you? and you can tell your mum she's not alone. the rest of my family don't like her either.
I don't know. Probably because he was little weird looking... I should have stayed around to see what he grew into. XD
Wow, really? I think she is overrated personally, and apart from the fact Americans seem to flip for anything to do with the Royal Family, I can'tse how she won for playing the Queen.
Mr. Deeds Goes To Town - Not to be confused with the remake with Adam Sandler, this is the original film that gave the world two new words - doodling and pixelated. I think I prefe Gary Cooper in these quirky, innocent roles especially when he's young and good looking.
The Leopard Man - Slightly boring murder mystery, that I only carried on watching to find out who did it.... and it was the person I'd suspected all along. I have no idea who starred in it and the only good thing about it, was the fact it was short.
@ The Oded people - I wanted more screen time for John Hannah as well. He was my first actor crush.

i guess he did look a little odd. and i haven't seen the queen, so i can't really judge how oscar-worthy her performance was. i haen't seen her in much really, there's just something about her that really irritates me when i see her on interviews.
anyway, i finally got my sister to watch amelie. i love that film so much, but it gives me heartache.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Extended Edition
Wow. Talk about powerful. I cried pretty much the whole way through the second disc. Nah, I cried the whole way through. And I got the shivers during the Ride of the Rohirrim, and the "A Far Green Country" part... and when Sam was carrying Frodo up Mount Doom and when Frodo had thrown the Ring into the fire and they were laying outside on the rock...
*sniffles*

Uh... "One Thousand and One Nights" which was laughably bad.

Huzzah! Our powers will combine to... do things! He's up there for me now, definitely. I don't think anyone will ever beat Edward Norton, but that's beside the point. Yeah, "awesomeness" doesn't really cut it. Maybe I'll have to start calling him "Belltastic."
I'm watching Undertow tonight, along with either Flags of Our Fathers or Billy Elliot. I really want to see Dear Wendy and Deathwatch, but I'm having a hard time finding them. If I can get King Kong and Nicholas Nickleby from friends and find the other two I'll have seen all his films by the end of the week. *Is obsessed*
I'm suddenly really excited about Jumper too, even though it has Hayden Christensen in it. I've seen plywood with better acting skills.

Haha, I'm only gonna go see that with my friends the day it comes out because they all want to for Valentine's Day, and because I like teleporters.

^Well, teleporters are pretty awesome...
"Billy Elliot"
Once upon a time I judged this movie based on quotes and one scene that didn't even have Billy in it. I AM AN IDIOT. It was total awesomeness.
Argh, all of these amazing Jamie Bell movies are wreaking havoc with my "Top 5 Films" List.

timtimtimtim - i have to say i'm impressed. all of his films in one week shows a commendable level of dedication to the cause.
i'm fairly excited about jumper too. it looks like pretty average sci-fi fare to me, but it'll be the first time i'll have seen jamie on the big screen, which will be pretty darn cool.
and we should combine our powers to get "belltastic" officially recognised as the ultimate expression of fantasticness. i think the jamie banner's going to have to make a comeback...
