Finished Bartimaeus. Loved Bartimaeus. Want to read the other two Bartimaeus.

And you should! They're awesome and I love that series! I love Nathaniel and I love Bartimaeus! *huggles all three books*

Yeah, if only I can beg our librarian into getting them!

Currently reading: The Thirteenth Tale
(Yay for gothic mystery.)

By the way, I finished Sea of Trolls this morning. Has anyone else read it? And am I just weird... or can anyone else see Gandalf being just like Jack when he was a boy.

Maybe I need to sleep... my mind is getting weird...

Brilliant book. Though I can't really see where you're coming from.

"...To their right, at the edge of the valley where it went up into the surrounding hills, was a huge cream-colored boulder. Around it was a cluster of cream-colored rocks.

"Isn't that sweet?" Thorgil warbled. "It's like a mother rock with her babies."
Wonderful, thought Jack. Now we're going to stop and pet the baby rocks."

""Tore out an eye?" Jack felt sick. He couldn't imagine doing such a thing, but the Northmen probably thought it was normal, like trimming your toenails.
What are you doing today, Odin old boy?
Oh, I thought I'd rip out an eye after lunch.
Jolly good
"

Atonement - Ian McEwan

As always, better than the film. Tsk for film-makers.

The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander. Because my friend Dean and I were having a "discussion" (read: fight :P) about which author was better, Tolkien or Alexander. I'm ashamed to say I hadn't read any of Lloyd's books, so I wasn't exactly the most equipped person to participate in said discussion. And I have to admit, he's good, but he's about equivalent with Lewis on my list, who is a couple spots under Tolkien. ;)

^That sucks. :D

I just went book shopping today, and I got the new-ish Dragonlance Chronicles series, The Lost Chronicles, so I'm reading the first one, Dragons of Dwarven Depths.

Oh, and I just started reading Night by Elie Wiesel for school.
