OMG!!! I totally share your opinion MB about this episode, it was just awesome!!!

Despite his attitude, I keep loving Locke! I'm not so sure he only acts out of selfishness, after all the others choose to come with him, they can leave at any time, I guess someone has to take decisions...
After all, I don't onsider Jack as a more tolerant person, thinking he has to be a leader he acts awfully!

And Kate and... you know... my! I have to say that I kind of saw that coming when Claire asked her to confort Aaron... I think it's pretty touching... but weird...

Well, to defend my position on Locke ... the way he treated Kate was just ridiculous.

It just really bothers me when someone takes such an authoritarian stance. Jack may not be the best of leaders, he's made lots of mistakes ... but he never acted like a dictator. (And whatever Locke says about being a dictator, not shooting Kate doesn't make him 'not a dictator' -- were there too many negatives in that? XD) Locke just seems too wrapped up in his own ideas and thoughts about what the island can do for him, that he doesn't really care about how he treats the ones with him. He just wants to get all the info out of Ben. *hmph*

But did anyone notice just HOW similar the scene between he and Ben was to the scene when they were in the hatch together in the second season? He threw the plate of food and everything.

Ben is LOVE.

What I'm confused at...is whether there are going to be any more "Oceanic 6" revealed. Because I mean, Aaron could sort of technically count as the 6th. Or not. I don't know. And did anyone notice how much OLDER he was? I'm wondering as to how much time has passed in these flashbacks. He looked like 2 or 3 years old.

And the coffin was from the season 3 finale. Jack showed up to a funeral service of someone. And it's implied that whoever was in it was known by the "Oceanic 6" and possibly...more probably a member of the "Oceanic 6."

During this episode, I had an idea of who it could be (not Claire -- I don't think it'd be her), but I can't remember any more. XD I should've written it down. But I guess I was too enthralled by the episode.

You know, Ben has gotten SO witty in Season 4. Instead of Sawyerisms, I find myself using Ben-isms all the time now.
"Excellent John: you're evolving!" = pretty much killed me. :rofl:

And I agree with you MB: this Jack suffering is starting to really hurt. I want something <i>nice</i> to happen to him... like if he could find out Claire is his half sister. He's GOT to find that out sometime, yes? When he came to Kate's defense... it just made me realize all over again how screwed up all these relationships are.

And what was up with that elaborate lie on only 8 of them surviving? Something is definitely amiss here. Let's look at our clues.

1. Some people are out to kill the Oceanic 6, and Ben+ are continually sniping them off.
2. Some people are still on the island I guess?
3. There was some kind of hoax about the crash of the plane...
4. The Freighties are being employed by some really evil guy who might be more powerful than Jacob.

Okay I'm really confused now. If Ben+ is sniping certain people off that want to kill the Losties... are they people working for Abaddon? Or yet ANOTHER weird guy? I mean is it like Ben<Jacob<Abaddon? Or is Jacob still at the top? <i>Someone</i> has to be controlling this mess, but my mind is so freakishly messed up by now that I haven't the foggiest who...

No, I'm almost certain that it wasn't. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty certain that they referred to the person in the casket as a "he."
Plus, when Jack went to see the casket, when asked, "Was he a friend of yours?" Jack replied, "No, not really."

I've been putting a lot of thought into this, and I think the only two people that Jack would say that about are Sawyer and Locke. Also, Jack asked Kate in that same episode if she had gone to visit the coffin, she said something to the effect of "Why would I do that?" That's got to be either Sawyer or Locke, right?




Okay, on another topic, Kate is starting to frustrate me. She just needs to make a decision about who she's going to stay with and keep it. It's getting ridiculous now. I completely agreed with what Sawyer said about her getting angry with Jack in a week and then crawling back to Sawyer. Because that's kind of what's been happening, and she's hurting both of them now.

Locke is starting to drive me crazy. The last episode, I kind of just wanted to punch him in the face, and I loved when Ben started mocking him. It was deserved, I think.

Oh, and the end of the episode...oh snap. I had absolutely no idea that was coming. And I can't possibly think of a reason Jack wouldn't want to see him. Unless he makes a decision on the island that kills Claire and totally feels guilty about it... I just don't know.

Maybe she gets left on the island. That would explain Charlie trying to convince Hurley to go back.

Oh, and I am seriously annoyed with Kate now. For a while I could sort of feel sorry for her, but this is ridiculous. She is hurting both Jack and Sawyer too much! Plus...she can seem so cold and selfish sometimes. She always has her own agenda and will do anything to go through with it.

I see what you mean about the coffin. Yeah, I would think it was either Sawyer or Locke. But I can't see Locke leaving the island, much less dying...and I really hope Sawyer doesn't die. Somehow...I think he will, though.

(Yeah, I was totally bummed when I found out Kate's 'son' was Aaron, because I thought she had Sawyer's kid! Oh well.)

And about Aaron's age...maybe the flash-forward was just a few years after they got off the island.

As for Locke, I don't like him, but I don't hate him for how he acts. He's just trying to do what's best, I think. Yeah, he's out for himself, but he isn't forcing anyone ese to come along. he's just saying: I'm doing this because I think it's best. If you do too, follow me.
But I still don't like him.

Oh, Ben is still amazing. He is so great. I love his lines!

And for the record, the Freighties scare me.

And...poor, poor sad Jack. I hate seeing him so worked up over Kate. He really deserves someone better...someone who's, gee, I don't know, TRUSTWORTHY every once in a while?

Oh my god, I was just going to say how much I'm really angry at Claire for being so ... normal. I mean, HELLO!!! I think it's only been a couple days. Which, she should be like...depressed, or SOMETHING. But she's with Locke hanging sheets. Makes NO sense.

Tar: Actually, I had been thinking it was Ben. But of course the Sayid episode rather disproved that... Locke does seem very plausible, but I'm almost positive that Locke never is going to leave the island... unless them gag, bind, and use 12 strong men to get him on the freighter. Sawyer... hmm. Interesting. I'll have to think into this.

Kate is frustrating me too. I mean I feel sorry for her and all, but this is ridiculous.

Locke is <i>teh ebil.</i> I disliked him from the very first episode where he flashed that freaky orange smile at Kate.

Claire IS behaving oddly. One would think she would have grieved more. And I'm also concerned with her going back to find Charlie's ring! Someone BETTER find Charlie's ring, since he left it there in a specifically sweet gesture for Aaron.

Tar: You may have just hit on something with Jack. :O Maybe that's what he didn't want Hurley to "tell." It's fun to speculate anyway.

Yerk! I really don't get it! I mean... Lost is kind of a slow story, informations are given to us drop after drop but how comes they make their characters so weird!
Their emotions don't always fit with reality don't you think? I don't think it's been even a whole week since Charlie died in the story! OK the story has to move on somehow and characters to but man... sometimes that just makes it totally unbelievable!
I think it's only been about 2 or 3 months that they got crashed on the island and yet in my head it makes about a year!!!

OW! I completly forgot about the ping-pong deal!!! That was hilarious!
Obviouly, Sawyer can't help himself calling Kate names!^^

Still I love Locke since the very beginning, he has oftenly acted weird but we found out eventually hat he had good reasons to do so! (Plus I can't forget the craddle moment with Claire, that was just so cute! )

This coffin thing is going to make me crazy!!! Ow and what about Hurley??? Maybe his "visions" drove him to madness, suicide perhaps... That would make sense... He and Jack weren' that close it would explain the "non-friend" thing...

Oh well...maybe it will be revealed in a later episode that she is really hiding her grief and when she discovers the list, ring, etc., she'll break down and we'll get a reaction worthy of Charlie.

But yeah, I am still SERIOUSLY mad that she and Aaron do not end up being together. I've been thinking, though...maybe for some reason she is unable/unwilling to leave the island, and she send Aaron with Kate? Or she does make it out, but as Ben is hunting down 815 survivors, she gets captured and Aaron is sent to Kate for protection? (Maybe?)

Eh...Aaron called Kate "Mommy", though, which implies that the situation is not temporary and that Kate intends to hide the boy's true parentage.

I really want Jack to figure out that Aaron is his nephew! I wonder if he knows, in the scene where he is talking to Kate...
