On Monday I stayed up and got about 4 hours of sleep finishing Wuthering Heights, because I got so interested and just needed to know how it would end! It's such a good book. I was amazed. It's on my list of favorite-books. It's one of the first classics that I've really gotten to love. I wish Emily Brontë had published more books.

After finishing Wuthering Heights, I went to the library to check out Jane Eyre by Emily Brontë's sister Charlotte Brontë. I'm reading that now, as well as A Room with a View, which I have yet to finish, and Virginia Woolf's To The Lighthouse.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, I read The Sound and the Fury (William Faulkner). It was an English class thing, and I get the feeling that I would have liked the book more if I had read it on my own, even though I doubt that I would have understood much. The book gets pretty complicated. I don't know, but sometimes I feel that reading books in an English class detracts from some of the book's natural appeal. Especially if the book is completely dissected in the class analysis. That's what happened with Animal Farm, at least. :bye2:

You know, weirdly enough I didn't at all care for Wuthering Heights. I didn't really care for any of the characters...

Just started New Moon by Stephenie Meyers.

I still haven't read that one. Tell me how it is, I've been quite skeptical but everyone else seems to like it so much.

Just finished Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce and now on Trickster's Queen.

I just finished "You Suck" by Christopher Moore. It's hilarious - about a young vampire couple in San Francisco (where I live!) :vampire:
