Yay, another member!

I was very inspired by some photography i saw on DA, hence my new signature. I even provided a link to check out the artists other stuff. I highly reccommend it.

(sounds like a commercial)

I like dA, but for as many good textures and brushes that are on there, there's quite a few ones that are complete rubbish. And I don't like sorting through all the pages of textures to find one that I want.

I've mainly been using LJ. Just as a stalker, though, because I'd never be able to figure out how it works.

^ YES. :annoyed: YESYESYES.

I hate being uninspired. :disgust: And I'm also mad because all the textures I want to use are icon textures, and I don't want to make icons. It's not fun.

For myself, I just hate not having enough time to do any graphics. I blame school. And being uninspired.

That's one of my issues as well, lack of inspiration. That and obsessiveness with one particular theme. So I'll make banners and icons and wallpapers till I'm sick of them. Then get stumped on what to do next :duh:

I use GIMP and just download the textures from places and paste them in in a new layer. You can also use the ones that come with GIMP (it gives you an option when you use the Fill tool to fill with an image region).

My current siggy (look down) has a parchment texture, incidentally, and I believe I pasted it into a new layer and set it to...either Divide or Dodge...or possibly Burn...I forget :P

I've been unbelievably inspired of late.

In two days I've made a texture, 2 blends, a colourization and I'm nearly finished with a bookmark. The blends took me no time at all (amazing for me, I am so slow) and the colourization was much quicker than normal. :swoon:

Maybe I've come down with something? :lost:

I have really been more inspired in the photography realm. Although, I seem to have misplaced my digital camera. =(

Aw, I'm sure you'll find it.

Do any of you get bedtime inspiration? It happens very rarely with me (and weirdly the last 2 times have been for me to try a different style of blend, and they both worked well). This happened to me last night, and I could see all the details so clearly, it was amazing. I wish all my inspiration was like that, as here is my blend that popped into my head last night.

It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it. :-)

That is so pretty JF! You are really amazing at graphics.

Sometimes I do get bedtime inspiration. I love them, but I do not like the fact that I cannot fall asleep until I finish the blend. Especially when there is school the next day.

Here is the last thing I made:

JF, i am stealing your talent and your graphics program, you too Smeagy...
/jealous

I've just been able to make a few avatars with the minimal Elizabeth The Golden Age screencaps i've been able to find... they're not the best, but thats all i can manage right now. I'm sooo uncreative right now.

Yes, it is the Illusionist. It was for Kit's song lyric contest. The Illusionist was the first thing I thought of for those lyrics.

Meh. Is it possible to feel graphics depressed? Because I think I am.... as of late I've hated pretty much everything I've tried to come up with in Paint Shop Pro.
