I am sure you are able to feel graphics depressed mainly because that is what I have been feeling. I want to use Photoshop but I just don't know what to do.

Thanks for all the comments guys. :-) *sets a pink duckie on the supposed talent stealers*

@ smeag - Awesome blend, really creative. I'm so glad I know what it is from now, it was annoying me like something. :teehee:

@ Darky - Oooh, new siggy. I love the colours and the textures and the blending in the banner is great. Haha, I love that scene. :D

@ Aramel - Oh, yes all too easy to get graphics depressed. When things don't work no matter what, and you lose interest in what you're making, that's the beginning of the depression. :-(

I think someone must have fed me something though, because I haven't fet this graphicy in years. I even started a new type of graphic thingymabob, retouches. I've never done one before (can't think why!) and I love it. Here's one of the ones I made today. :-)

Heh, should have joined earlier, I know, but I've been a bit distracted lately. Shiny things and all that.

Hi all who don't know me. Or know me a little bit. Or know me a lot, even. I'm Aliana/Ammy and I make graphics(obviously). Photoshop 7 currently but I've used everything from Corel to Paint. NET to MS Paint. Been tinkering for five or so years now with a bit of everything and only recently started to feel satisfied with my work(the whole being my own worst critic thing is so true on so many levels). And....I guess that's it!

talent? me? yous crazy? Have I a need to call the loony bin? The only reason i did a decent job on it is because i re-discovered my love for textures, esp the ones i stole from Mumsies site.
(Thanks though you guys, i'm actually proud of this set)

Welcome Ammy!!

I've no idea what a vector is, if i did, i'd help you.

*drags Call back* Nuh uh, no you don't! You're way better than I was when I first started. No reason to be scared at all.

Thank you, Jane! ^_^ I've been making a bunch of nifty coloring PSD's lately that are handy for just dragging and dropping onto an image, tweaking as necessary. I don't think I could ever do neat stuff in Paint, though. I tried, but my temper is about as long as a thumbtack and sharp as one. =P

Eh, what are you saying? My graphics are awful usually... I've had 1 or 2 I'm really proud of, the rest are blech.

Call, don't you dare run away! Running away from things never helps... Besides, your Graphic's are wonderful!

Wow, another name change, Meg? Now what should I call you - Lady? Meg? Gus-Gus?...
It's hard to keep up ;)

Call me Ali or Ammy. =P Easier to remember. I'll be going back to Aliana after Thursday. Yep.

*makes post more graphic-related*

Tip: If you use tutorials, everything changes depending on your image. High quality is always best.

Night, I've seen several of your graphics, right? I don't think they're so bad. :) what program do you use?

Jane, awww, thank you, dear... and I suppose you are right about running away never helping. ;)

how exactly do tutorials work anyway, Ali? :confused2:

Uhm, well...o.o If you go to a tutorial website, like Bleed Like Me (or sometimes just personal websites made by graphic-makers has them), there's usually a list of tutorials of different things you can do with the program you have. Basically an online do-it-yourself guide to specific things.

<a href="http://www.ex-posed.com/resources/tutorial/bluelex/bluelex.html">Here's</a> a favorite of mine, from Ex-Posed.
