^ That's an awesome poem... it's my favorite along with The Charge of the Light Brigade and Lady of Shallot.

My favorite poem is an anonymous poem entitled Don't Quit. I know it by heart, but I am too lazy to type it out right now.

[ M i s s J o n e s ] wrote: I'm going to hazard a guess, is it Emily Dickinson?
O Captain, My Captain is by Walt Whitman.
Lady of Shallot and Charge of the Light Brigade are by Lord Alfred Tennyson.
My favorite verses of the Light Brigade:
'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd & thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
Not a big fan of Emily Dickinson, personally.
Poe is okay, though, don't like how morbid the Raven is, but it has some cool lines.
Tennyson rocks all, though.

Oooh, poetry? Walt Whitman, Edgar Allan Poe, etc. etc. My favorite poet of all time has to be Lewis Carroll.
How doth the little crocodile Improve his shining tail, And pour the waters of the Nile On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin, How neatly spreads his claws, And welcomes little fishes in With gently smiling jaws!
Ah, morbid poetry.
The only poet I don't really like is Robert Frost. I've had enough flowers and waterfalls, thankyouverymuch.

How'd we get on the subject of poetry?
I'm not a fan of poetry. Don't like reading it, can't write it... xD

=P Tar's 'O Captain, My Captain' poem.
On a less rhyme-worthy subject: I'm having issues deciding what to change my signature to next. One's Twilight-related, one's Torchwood-related, and one features a completely random frog stock photo I found. As much as Torchwood(of course) trumps everything else in the universe, everyone has Torchwoods signatures nowadays. =P Opinions?

At least I find all the Torchwood signatures on the planet. [Mostly because as soon as I see jack everything stops and I stare for a few minutes. It seems to be happening a lot lately.]
Ianto set:
Twilight set:
[And yes, I get that the ribbon is from New Moon. I was having apple-related issues.]
Froggie set:
[Isn't he adorable?]

This might be extreme fangirlyness making me biased, but I am definitely saying Twilight.
And I swear Aliana, if you made that banner, then you are NEVER going to get rid of me, because I will be requesting Twilight and Dr banners every waking moment.
So maybe you should lie and say you didn't make it. I'm giving you the chance now.
And as you can see, I changed my siggie to the amazing Doctorness from my favorite person in the word.

Uhm...*shifty eyes* Maybe I did, maybe I didn't.
I think I like the Twilight one too. ^_^ I'll save Froggie and Ianto for later. Kindof on a Twilight kick lately since I've been re-reading the series[over, and over, and over...]
Aw! Favorite person? ^_^ I'm honored.
[Assuming that I made it. Since I'm pretty sure I remember making it.]

Ha, good answer.
And Twilight is pretty much my renewed obsession. Like, when I first read it, I read it over and over and over with Matchbox Twenty playing in the background (I still associate the two)...and then I switched obsessions, moved on to other books, and stopped listening to those particular songs, and then once the trailers came out, I got back to my Twilight and Matchbox Twenty. Honestly, it seems like I always have those two things on the brain. When I don't have the Doctor on my brain, of course.
And yes, Ali, you are my favorite person right now.

I love Matchbox 20, but I always associated it with The Spill Canvas and sometimes Jane's Addiction. Really it boiled down to what I felt like listening to the first time I read the books, and it just stuck. Now if I'm in a Twilight phase, I somehow manage to associate whatever I'm listening to to the situation in the book[try it - it works.]
Twilight's going up now while I work on some pretty wallies and my requests. ^_^
