yes, he did. For a film based on a hymn that was directed by an agnostic, I was blown away. I think he'll do awesome on Voyage.
did anybody see the Liam Neeson\Aslan clip from REgis and Kelly? I missed teh show *grrr!* but saw the clip on Youtube...that scene is a tearjerker, and he's so HUGE!!!!

Wow, what’s been happening? this thread has been FLYING! Lol
Anyway, there are actually several new elements added to the script (including the tension between Caspian and Peter) that I've read more about and I’m actually beginning to look forward to seeing how they pulled off all these little add-ins. It actually sounds like they've added all these things but still kept true to the story and what C. S. Lewis would’ve written. So this actually might help en-richen the story.
Star, that huge poster/billboard is AMAZING! I want to travel down to Dallas and take it back home with me right now.
Fae, lol, don't worry about it... I agree completely because I have probably roughly the same love-hate feelings for Disney.
btw, did you say you would like to see what Reep looks like? Anyway, here's a pic of him:

so cute!

Why so many misgivings? I don't think Lewis would be turning in his grave at all. tLtWtW was brilliant, and it's the same people in charge of PC - I mean, Susan/Caspian might not strike him as amazing, but we don't even know how that all pans out.
My feelings for Disney...actually, the hate there probably outweighs the love I like some of the Princess movies, but only some, and the sum total of all Disney movies I like are the old Princess ones, PotC, and Narnia. I don't consider them a company I'm at all willing to fully support, and while I think they can turn out a good movie once in a while (obviously) I do understand what you guys are saying. That said, please don't judge before you see it - you never know, right?

amen to everything there! Disney or rather Adamson, has done very well in keeping the spirit of LWW true to film. He's kept the story, and the general child-like aire about it intact, I respect him for that immensely.

I'm not much of a "Purist" So I don't really care for a few changes in a Book-to-Movie adaption. You've got to assume before the movie even comes out, there WILL be changes. Wanting the movie to be EXACTLY like the book is pointless, because there are merely some things in books that don't adapt to the big screen well. The whole Peter and Caspian argument, Susan and Caspian kissing, ect. May work out in the long run. Because the Peter and Caspian thing actually makes sense and it is quite possible the Susan/Caspian kiss is just a farewell kiss, I hope this is this case, but if it isn't, I won't let it ruin the movie for me. Susan fighting won't ruin the movie for me, The White Witch appearing won't ruin the movie for me. And we really have to see the movie ourselves to tell whether we like it or not. If you don't like the movie, just stick with the book.
I myself am most looking forward to seeing Reepicheep on the big screen. He looks amazing, and very well portrayed. He is one of my favorite characters too.

Well said, Balathor! Optimism! (I also can't wait to see Reepicheep!)
I read the book. I loved the book. I adore Lewis and his amazing work. But I am just as exited about the movie as I was before I learned about all the differences. Book adaptions are always going to have some changes. Some big, some small. After all, LotR had bunches of changes, and we all still love it, don't we?

*applauds Balathor*
I'm so not a purist either. I mean, it would take quite a bit for me to have a problem with something - if they stay true to the overall themes, and the overall personalities of the characters, I'm basically okay with all of it. It makes it rather hard to be disappointed.
Unless it's, like, Eragon. Which we won't speak of.

Okay, is this "Peter/Caspian" fight people keep mentioning a sword fight in the woods?
Because Ben Barnes was just on Jay Leno and the clip they showed was the first time Caspian/the Pevensies met- Peter and Caspian were fighting until they realized who the other was.

I AM a purist however, but I shall say no more. I know that I will not like the changes, but that dosent mean that the actual movie-making will stink. I see movies with two views - my own and from a pure movie-making aspect. So lets see.
LWW was alright. I was actually very happy with it. And I think that thats why Im so disappointed now...

Reep looks soo cute! He'll be the best in the film!
I repeat, LWW, for me, was very good. They did it good. There are a lot of changes in PC, so I'm unclear, because I'm a purist, and a big one.
Lol to who said that if Lewis was alive he would die by watching this film
And whoever responds me contradicting is going to watch the movie with me. So start packing your clothes and buy your ticket

Bala, well-spoke *listen to the tool, lol; sorry, couldn't resist adding Jack's line in there, haha*
If we look at PC from teh book's standpoint, the book is sorta...boring. Think about it: for most of teh book, the story is taking place as a narrated story with Trumpkin telling the pevensies Caspian's story. How can they do that on film? It can't be done withotu being completely and utterly boring and ridiculous. I also think that the Susan\Caspian kiss is not romantic, because 1. it looked pretty quick and rushed, 2. Caspian was like, "what?!"; Susan initiated it, not Caspian, and I think it was a farewell kiss...or to be completely modern: Susan's thinking, "Man, I need to kiss this really cute king in case I don't ever see him again..."
I mean, wouldn't you if you were a girl?????
I still think it's absolutely POINTLESS to complain about a movie you've never seen. We've only seen bits and pieces of the film and we don't know how it's all going to come together and look. Whether it's straying way out from the book or not, I'm going to see it and I know I'mgoing to love it no matter what. yeah, I know some of you are disappointed with what you've seen and heard, but face teh facts: the book wouldn't be able to be adapted without making changes, some major, some minor. and as I've said millions of times before, if you don't like it, then GO MAKE IT YOURSELF as true to the book as you please. I guarantee that it wouldn't be nearly as popular as a film that's had changes in it to put more action and make the story more appealing on-screen.

I repeat it.
And anyway I'll watch the film. I already pass the Susan/Caspian, and the other, I'll wait for it. Just so you know.

HOWEVER, I also watch the movies with two minds - the book adaptation and as a movie. I think as a movie it will be really good. Book adaptation, not as good as I'd like. Being a purist, I just can't really understand why they'd need to change things. But I think I'm going to have to be rather quiet on this subject, since we seem to be few. So I'll withhold judgment on that subject. I AM seeing the movie opening day. Quote: If we look at PC from teh book's standpoint, the book is sorta...boring. Well actually, the book pretty much narrates Caspian's story in a way any book would. We just know that someone is telling it in the back of our minds. It's incredibly simple to do it the same way. The Pevensies meet Trumpkin. He begins to tell the story of Caspian's life, fade to a young Caspian at Miraz's castle. Then you just tell a regular story up to the blowing of the horn, then maybe do a quick flash of the Pevensies at the train station, then cut to them at Cair. Seems rather easy to me.

Has there ever actually been a book-to-movie adaption that was perfect? I honestly don't think so. If they were to film the movie word for word from the book, but left one little line out, somebody would notice it, I'm sure. But anyways, I can't wait to see Prince Caspian. It is going to be amazing.
Has anyone seen the clip introducing Reepicheep? It's awesome. Here it is if you would like to see.

I actually really like how they did Reep's voice, I think it is perfect.
