^Gee, I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Petra. I know how hard that can be. and don't worry about it... just hopefully we're over all of that now.
but what to discuss next... I think we need our brains, aka Anie, here. My mind has been so wrapped up in Narnia lately that I've, um, grown a little less pirate-y. anyway, what's a Will-ish subject? that question shall haunt me til we figure it out... lol

Oh, I'm so sorry, Petra! That's dreadful! But don't worry, no harm, no foul.
Ach! Yes! We need Anie! I confess, my brain has been a little preoccupied with Criminal Minds...

i haven't watched POTC in a while...all the way through anyways.
this is sort of Will-ish: did anybody cry in DMC when Will made the promise to his dad to free him? I did....though I don't know why.

Ah. I'm guilty as well.
I didn't, but it was definitely an emotional scene!

I'm the brains of the club?!? Oh dear. We're in serious trouble then.
Welcome, Petra! I'm very sorry to hear about your dog, and I'll pray for you if you'd like. As to your Will-related question, I never cry when I'm watching POTC for some reason but I do feel a funny little twist in my heart, and I hear the words he's not saying after "I will not abandon you"...which are "the way you did to me" or something along those lines.
And as to Elizabeth's dad, I always thought they just dumped him in the ocean or something equally appalling. Then again, he was in a boat at World's End as opposed to floating in the water...

I actually am like Anie, I guess. Because I've never really cried while watching Pirates. I think the closest I've ever gotten was while watching Will's death scene in AWE and hearing Lizzie scream and stuff... but other than that...
I agree with Anie. I've always pictured Mr. Mercer "taking care of" Gov. Swann and dumping him overboard into the ocean. something short and easy. And that's probably what happened to Norrie too. Hm, I never thought there was a difference, Anie. I figured some people were in boats and some weren't. I never thought that it might be some died and were in boats and some died and fell into the water... hmmm, I wonder if there really is something to that.
Anie, yup, you're officially dubbed the brains of the club. And trust me we're probably better off with you than someone like, say, me.

Oh heavens, yes, Anie! lol! You are most definitely the brains of this rabbling band of fan girls.
No, I've never actually cried in POTC either...but I agree, Anie, I kind of heard those unspoken words too. I was waiting for him to say them, lol.
Overall, AWE was pretty sad in general, but it was completley brilliant.
As for Governor Swann, I would imagine it would be something quick and efficient, so I agree with you, PD. They probably shot him.

I was crying buckets when Elizabeth sees her dead father and when Will died.
I know, I'm sooo pathetic.

only time i cried was when Will was killed.its weird but i very rarely cry when watching movies but i more often do when reading books.
well since it was obvious that Lizzy's father died at sea,he was probably stabbed and thrown overboard or some such thing, but it was done secretly so it wouldnt cause suspicion, and the people were told he went to England.thats what i always thought cos it happened so soon after Beckett said he was no longer useful.[/i]

I'm probably one of the few girls who isn't so fangirlish...though I'll admit, 2004, you couldn't get me to STOP talking Orlando Bloom. Now it's Ewan McGregor and Ben Barnes, lol.

Haha, I completely sympathize. I was an obsessive Orlando fangril for six years, up until last year. I really don't like him anymore. I've moved on to Johnny Depp.
Welcome, Captain Barbossa! We're glad to have you! I just hope you can tolerate a bunch of fan girls and our rambling, haha.
