Firstly I like to tell LDM and Tinuviel that Anne Rice is amazing! I love her so much. I am super happy other people realize how incredibly awesome she and her characters are. I am in the process of reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman and rereading Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (it's a great book I highly reccomend it).

Finished The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe... am now trying to decide if I want to read The Magician's Nephew or Prince Caspian next.

I'm going to be reading my pharmacology textbook this summer.

Oh, be sure to read it soon! :) It's not as depressing as Louis' story, mainly because Lestat is another person and Anne is apparently very good in understanding how different the same thing can look from another POV. Lestat will really surprise you :P let's just say The Vampire Lestat doesn't only explain his strange behaviour in the Interview, but also explains a lot about Louis' unconscious cruelty, and makes Lestat into a fascinating character! :D

(tis Aerlinn btw, I changed names, temporarily :P)

That sounds too tantalizing for me to resist. I'll get it this weekend. (Yes, I know you're Aerlinn. The guy you're engaged to tipped me off :D)

I was reading Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, but it was such brilliant book that I finished it in an afternoon.

Quote:
This was unusual, believe it or not, because coyotes sometimes can have a goofy charm. They are more closely related to wolves than to dogs, lean and sinewy, efficient predators, but with feet too big for their bodies and ears too big for their heads, they can appear a little puppylike, at least as cute as Iran's homicidal dictator when he puts on a leisure suit and has his photo taken eating ice-cream cones with grade-school children whose parents have volunteered them to be suicide bombers.

I love this series, and the the character Odd Thomas too much. :notworthy:

I finished the first book of the Shadow Series by Maria Gripe; Skuggan Över Stenbänken (The Shadow Over The Stone Bench) and have continued on to the second book; ...Och De Vita Skuggorna I Skogen (...And The White Shadows Of The Forest). This is probably the millionth time I'm reading this series but I just can't get enough of Maria Gripe's books. So mysterious, mystical and magical! :)

I love Dean Koontz's work. I've only read Odd Thomas (out of that series) though but I found it excellent. My favorite Dean Koontz book is Intensity though. Have you read it? It was awesome! I couldn't put it down.

I would definitely recommend reading the rest. I get the feeling from this last one that the next book is going to be FANTASTIC.

I haven't read Intensity, but from the summary it sounds brilliant. Last year during the summer a used book store opened up within walking distance of my grandmother's house, so I spent the two weeks we were there doing nothing but reading about a dozen of his books.

I finished Life of Pi, that was for school. Then on my summer reading list . I started with A Death in the Family By: James Agee. So far its good. The thing that I don't like is how it chages narratoring and little memory things at the end of each part. I am also working through Hamlet. I made it through one see which is really good.

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens as part of my summer reading for AP Brit Lit. Not far enough into it yet to form an opinion. Most of his books start out slow but get amazing towards the middle I find.

P.S. Also sort of kind of re-reading Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs again. But not really.

Rosenberg?! Oh my goodness, I saw him on the news a few weeks ago!! I was flipping channels, and then I heard this guy talking about Star Wars and LotR, so I turned it back, and it was this guy, Joel Rosenberg. Seems that people are accusing him of being a prophet, since some of the events in his book written several years ago are coming true today. Needless to say, it was all very intriguing, but he denied it. My parents promised to get me one of his books, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

And Starlight (do you know that I still am tempted to type "TT" after all this time :P ?) THAT book is the wonderfullness. One of my favorites ever. I've read it like 20-something times...

Currently reading: Some Through The Fire by Jerri Massi. Meh. It's okay, but not rave-worthy.
