Throughout the battle, Arwen had gained various scratches from the wrath of the werewolf. She clasped her bleeding arms, blood coming away on her hands. "I don't think we should set off just yet, Turwaithion," she said shakily.

Turwaithion turned, and his eyes widened as he took in Arwen's wounds. Dismounting, he quickly pulled out a few mellyrn leaves, crushed them, and rubbed them on her wounds. Then, he bound them with linin bandadges, and pulled of his vambraces and pauldrons, buckling them onto Arwen's arms. "If the wounds pain you too much, or you feel ill, tell me." he said, clasping Arwen's shoulder. "Werewolf wounds are some of the worst." he sighed, mounting Fyrn again

"Thank you." Arwen bowed her head. "However, putting this into perspective, I doubt I'll be able to continue the journey on foot. The scratches are deep and are paining me badly." She rose her head, a hint of bitterness in her blue eyes.

Turwaithion shook his heaqd, smiling slightly "Here" he said, pulling her into his saddle, so that he was behind her. "Fyrn can bear the weight, do not worry." he said "The initail pain shall pass, but alert me if it returns he said, as Fyrn surges forwards, while he wrapped a bandadge around his wounded head.

Deawen's mare kept perfect pace with Turwaithion's steed. THe golden coat glistened with sweat after a few miles. Deawen had a good time keeping her eyes open she found ways to distracted herself. Most if was worry that kept her awake, the fear that at any moment some dark creature would pop out of the bushes and kill her before she knew it was there. She shuddered at the thought, she wasn't as gracefully alert as her companions nor was she as swift. She prayed that dawn would hurry on it's way, she longed to curl up on her sleeping pallet and forget the outside world for a while.

Anira dug her heels into Vehiron's sides and urged the steed forward. The stallion readily obliged, keeping pace with the other horses. Anira had remained silent about her own fatigue, her body was bruised from the skirmishes of the day, but she knew that time was of the essence. She knew that the darkness concealed many creatures, and it was during the night that their activities were at its peak. If Eru is willing, we will be pass the night without more trouble, she thought silently.

Arwen's eyes drooped as the horse sped along. She was growing tired now, but her grip on the saddle did not loosen. She was not entirely sure why she had insisted on coming now, what kind of mad idea had got into her head. She instantly reprimanded herself, even in her fatigued state. She knew why.

Turwaithion re-adjusted his hold of the reins slighly as Arwen began to slump slightly. He smiled to himself. He too was fatigued, but years of night guard had ensured that he needed on three or four hours rest a day. Turwaithion scanned ahead constantly, watching the forest for signs of movement that never appeared.

Finally, dawn came. The group settled in a small glen, the horses nearly collapsing while thier riders removed saddle and bit from them, and settled to rest against their steeds flanks.

Arwen leapt down from the horse and sat down on the earth. She cringed slightly as she wrapped her arms, which were still stinging, around her knees, which she drew under her chin. She closed her eyes, starting to fall asleep.

Turwaithion unpinned his cloak and draped it across his upper body, leaning against Fyrn's flank. He was asleep by the ime his head hit horseflesh.

Arwen was soon fast asleep. Hours of running and the werewolf attack had left her completely lacking energy. Her deams were strange and dark as she slept; she could hear scurrying footsteps, clanging metal like the clash of swords, and frightened voices. A sky on the horizon of her dream was turning slowly red, like an angry flame.
Her eyes opened instantly after that, wide with shock. The others were all asleep. She unwrapped her arms from her legs and shakily rose to her feet.
The glen was quiet. Careful not to wake anyone, she tip-toed silently towards the trees, heart still thudding.

AS soon as they stopped Deawen dropped from her saddle she reached around and brought her thick cloak around her body and fell instantly asleep. Her breathing was shallow and noisless, even to elves hearing. Her finger twitched every now and then, from either dream or worry wasn't clear. She woke only once, her side was numb and her shoulder still stung, she whimpered slightly as she tried to move her limbs, they had fallen asleep and tingled. But her shoulder felt sore and stiff.
