Thalabor bowed his head and then stood back as Lady Morwen entered.
At first he reacted to the tone of her voice, it felt inapropriate for him that someone (even at similar status) adress her that way infront of guests.
But he put the thought down as the Lady of the house responded in the same way.
Rohirrim was an interesting people, they where inbetween Gondorians and the people of Arnor in mannerism.
Both proud and relaxed in their attitudes towards eachother and their guests.
As the tables was filled with refreshments, Thalabor, Curubor and Merilas started to eat and enjoy the company.
Thalabor looked around the hall and then at the fellow guests at this hall.
One of the visitors looked slightly familiar.
He had seen her before in Ithilien together with some of the Rangers, when he had travelled the lands with his father Bormegil.
After a while the Lady and the fair haired Gondorian started to discuss with eachother.
It was pretty obvious that the discussion became more hot tempered, even though both tried to maintain a polite tone with eachother.
He remained silent untill the Lord of the house returned.

Curubor had felt that Deawen where not in a state to squabble with foreign guests.
The blonde woman seemed to be a city person, and reminded him of some of the woman he had met in Minas Tirith, including his brothers wife Gollineth.

Thalabor greeted Lord Sen and shook his hand.
"It is great to finally see you Lord Sen! You're timing of arrival couldn't have been better."
The dunedain walk towards the box that had been standing on the floor awaiting the Lords arrival.
"As I told Lady Deawen upon my arrival, the Steward and the White Company found this in the caves under Ered Lithui in Mordor during our orc hunts and Faramir recognized the armour and weapon as yours or from someone of your people."

Curubor had enough of sitting around trading courteous words with hot headed Gondorians and Rohirric woman folk and asked Deawen:
"Would the Lady mind if a humble woodsman go for a drink with newly acquinted friends down at the village before the feast?"
"Also is there anything you need help with before the feast?"
"I can lift heavy objects and I'm good at all kinds of woodworking."

Merilas was now sitting alone with Alaglín and wasn't sure whom she should talk to.
She went to talk with Morwen and would join the rest at the feast once it started.

Goldleaf stayed by the windowside quietly as the guests milled around and conversed with each other. She felt comforted that there were at least a few Gondorians here, so she was not the only foreigner that might feel a little out of place.

Deawen smiled at Curubor "No offense would be taken." She chuckled and shook her head. " No I think we have everything under control." Deawen turned her gaze to Thalabor, and listened intently. Something about the armor unsettled her. Her thoughts strayed to the missives and what they could be. Eohric had been summoned, was there a summon for Sen as well? She would have to find out, what if there was? Deawen scolded herself for being to drawn into her work.

Sigeloc took the Princess' silence in stride, noticing the group of travelers entering the village and heading towards Lady Deawen's Hall. Apologising, Sigefolc rolled down his sleeves, and pulled on a brigandine. Then, he headed inside, maneuvering through the corridors until he found his and Alais' quarters. Opening the door, he took his sword from where it stoiod in a corner, unused for months of peace, and belted it on. Then, he exited through a side door and headed into the main Hall. He spotted a group of travellers speaking with Lady Morwen and a worried-looking Lady Deawen, both of whom were surveying a chest of weapons and armour of foriegn make, brought forward by a man who looked Gondorian. "What is this?" he asked, gesturing to the chest.

(OOC: Just a bit of info, Turwaithion, the armor is not of Rohirric make. If you check out my bio at the beginning, you will see I come from someplace very different... :D )
*Sen stood as the guest approached him, and shook the offered hand warmly.*
It is good to meet you, as well, friend, though I do not have the pleasure of knowing your name.
*Sen replied, as he followed the dunedain to the large box. As he looked upon its contents, he fell momentarily silent, as he ran his fingers along the crest emblazoned on a helm dulled with age. He did recognize the armor; though he wished he hadn't...*
Faramir spoke true when he recognized this armor. In Mordor, you say? Then I know who these belonged to...
*Sen stood up, his face suddenly growing hard and his eyes seemed distant. His voice grew cold, as if remembering a painful memory from long ago.*
Before my city fell, a patrol was sent out. It's task was to scout out any aid that might be had; we had known the attack would come, just not how overwhelmingly strong it would be. At the time, we did not know the existance of Gondor, or Mordor, or Rohan, or any other nation of Middle Earth; we had lived alone for an age. I now see that their path would have taken them past what was the black gate; they must have been captured there. My... my best friend. Ha! My only friend at that time went on that patrol. Thank you, Thalabor. We now know what became of them.
*Sen smiled, and tore his eyes away from the crate, where they had fallen to rest again, as he adressed Thalabor.*
Enough of the past, though. Are you looking forwards to the festival? All the preparation has many of us set on edge, though your welcome is all the warmer.

Goldleaf looked up as a Rohirric man walked into the room. She listened without a word as Sen spoke of his home country; a place that knew nothing of rhealms like Gondor and Rohan. She could not imagine it. She drummed her fingers restlessly against her knuckles and inclined her head to Sigeloc politely.

Deawen watched her husband with concern, she didn't like when flashes of his past came whirling around. Deawen had defenses for every imaginable attack save for the past. When he stood up Deawen wanted to reach out and grab his sleeve and pull him back down but thought better of it.
Deawen looked out the now open doors of her hall and saw that night was fast approaching. She stood up and strode over to Sen, "My Lord Husband, I beleive it is time to start the bonfire. we should get ready." she said her voice echoing in the hall. Eston scrurried out of the hall and began ordering for the bonfire to be ready.

Goldleaf rose from the windowseat and watched as people started to get ready for the beltane festival. It seemed very important to them. She tried to think of any equivalent of it that there was in Gondor, but could not recall one.
"My lady." She looked towards Deawen with a small curtsy. "You and I may have exchanged words that outline the large differences between our two rhealms, but I am willing to help you with whatever needs doing for your celebrations. Is there anything I can do?" She could sense the tenseness of the lady of the house, clearly this was an important occasion.

"I would be happy to help as well." Sigefolc said, jerking out of his reverie. He glanced at the foriegn woman for a moment, slightly suspicious, then cleared his throat. "The secondaty hall is nearly repaired, Milady." he told Deawen. "It should be finished tomorrow."

Goldleaf met Sigefolc's gaze calmly, holding it for a few moments, before turning her attention back to Deawen with a small smile. She would not be put off by suspicious locals. They could think what they wished of her; it was not as if she was a servant of Mordor come to wreak havoc on their home.

"I cannot think of anything for you to do Lady Goldleaf, I have plenty of help as it is." She smiled her polite smile. " That is good tidings Sigefolc!" Deawen said, she laughed suddenly "My lord Sigefolc you know very well I have over a hundred house carls to do the handy work, this is your holiday to enjoy let us do the work, afterall we owe alot to the families of westfolde." Deawen said happily.
"If you excuse me, I have to get ready for the bonfire." she curtsied and left the hall.
Deawen chose a bright red dress, it was shorter than her usual gowns, but it was made for the wild dance of Beltane. she wore no jewelry not even her customary circlet. she unpinned ehr copper hair and let if fall to her shoulders.

Goldleaf's smile did not waver as Lady Deawen walked from the hall. At least she had offered. Thoughtfully, she crossed the hall to glance from the window again. The people of the Westfolde Hall seemed all to be preparing for beltane. She wondered what she would do while they celebrated. Perhaps take another walk on the walls, admire the view, find a place to get a pint of ale. She would not be at a loss. The blue of her Gondorian-cut sleeve brushed the Rohirric window pane as her curious gaze searched the fields of Rohan.
