Maryann is just a freak and wanted to toy with them...they have sex too after beating each other I think...

that brown hair kid that was in competittion with Jason? He was the suicide bomber who attached silver chains to him to try and kill the vamps which he was sort successful doing...

Since I am rewatching the episoes I forget what happens in each and what you may have seen or not...

I cried too when Godric died...how can you not especially watching Eric like that

It was heart-breaging to watch Eric and Godric. I'm so disappointed. They've been talking about Godric for like half a season and when the plot finally moves his way he gets like two episodes...

And the thing about a Maker having unlimited power over the vampires he's made... it's one of the things I might have a problem with... well, apart from the whole "how does a vampire work"... umm but let's not go there.
But I mean... Bill stood firm on what he believed and stood up against his Maker... I wonder what it takes and whether Eric didn't have that passion in him too.

I think Eric and Godric have had the maker bond for so much longer then Bill and his maker that it's harder for him to defy Godric. Plus Bill never really admired his maker like Eric and Godric...

Maybe it's the strength of the bond that makes it easier to go against themker or not...but that is just my view and opinion.

That's interesting... I imagined that it would be harder for Godric to command Eric because they had a bond of affection and had it for so long. So it's sort of opposite..

The difference between Eric/Godric and Bill/Lorena is that Lorena released Bill from his bond many years past. So he is no longer compelled to do her every bidding.

Also Eric does for Godric because he wants to. Yes he is very loyal to his Maker ect ect. But the desire to be the good child for Godric is overwhelming for him.

Did Godric die so soon in the books too? I mean was he this mysterious figure who didn't really appear in the actual plot? I think it was such a waste to limit him to two episodes.

Back to True Blood, I was quite sad how small of a role Godric played because I really loved him as a character and it was so heartbreaking that he had reached the point that he wanted to die
