That's awesome. Eru, I need new pets. I want to give them Middle-earth type names. Well, not really I guess. I just really want to get a new cat a name it Haldir XD.

Yeah. It won't happen though. Well, at least for for a long time. I don't think a male kitten would get along with my mom's three old female cats.

I would so name my kids after LOTR. But it would be something different like Idril (always loved that name) or Luthien (love that story!). but that's only if I had girls. If I had boys I'd probably name them after the actors. So Orlando is the most likely option, or William if I wanted to be more sneaky about the LOTR link.
I know one of my mum's freinds actually knows someone who named their daughter Eowyn....

I'd like to name one of my kids Perigrin, which actually is a real name. And I love the name Eowyn.

Although, I don't know if I'd name someone that...

You know... you can edit and delete posts, just to avoid looking like you're spamming
But that's cute... Gandalf the goat.

For a more common LotR name (or more well-known), I would use it as a middle name. But a fairly simple/not too out-there elvish name would be cool for a first name.

I definitely would only choose a LotR name as a middle name for my child.
Firstly, I think that my child(ren) could be teased if they had a LotR name as a first name.
Secondly, it would sound sooo weird to me calling my child(ren) by a LotR name.. I couldn't imagine to say "Pippin! Go, tidy up your room" or something like that.
I like the idea of the middle name though. I think it's not too obvious and yet has something to do with LotR. But then I wouldn't choose a name like Gandalf or Saruman or so..
